I have read a lot about dinner on the cruise and was wondering about breakfast. Where? Times? Your favorite tips about breakfast. Thank you for your help, whenever my DH has a question I just say let me check at DIS :earboy2:

We always ate at the buffet for breakfast. You MUST try the omellete station. It is by far the best choice available their.

Ditto! Our stateroom was on deck 8 aft so the Beach Blanket Buffet was very convenient.

Loved the Mickey waffles, omelets and Krispy Kreme doughnuts!

Yup, we loved the buffet and eating breakfast outside. I loved their scrambled eggs! Everything else was yummy too!! I don't think we ever did a sit down breakfast....

We're on Deck 8, midship. Can you take food back to your room from the Buffet area? I'm guessing there are trays / carry-out silverware, etc.?

And that dancing banana just made me LOL!

OH! I just realized I got "Mouseketeer" status - cool :earsboy:

Yes, you most certainly can..Lots do it..Especially if have a verandah, but even if you don't...

Hi, Mousketeer...Watch how quickly it changes..  :earseek:

have room service delivered to provide you with some coffee, juice, light pastries and a wake up call (right around the same time Mickey calls) while you get ready for your day. Then head off to the dining room or buffet. Great way to do it for us. Coffee on the verandah was great.

Breakfast is also served in Lumiere's. It is sit down & has a menu. It took longer for us to get thru that with the kids so we chose to do the buffet all other mornings. The character breakfast is fun too. That will be in PC.

Parrot Cay usually has a breakfast buffet as well, as long as they don't have a character breakfast. I liked the fresh fruit, and my DD really loved the smoked salmon. They have muselix for you to make as well.

According to my navigators from Christmas, here are the times.

Topsiders buffet 7:00 - 10:00 (they have pastries by the beverage station around 6 am as I reacall).
Parrot Cay buffet 7:30 - 10:30
Lumiere's 8-9:30

The Character Breakfast sounds good. Do you have to reserve it in advance?

No, you are automatically reserved with your dining times...Your server will give you your tickets.....Depends on your dining time, early or late supper, early or late breakfast.. :goodvibes

If we are pressed for time, we go to the buffet at Topsiders. For a more upscale and leisurely paced breakfast -- where you order off a menu and the waitstaff serve you at the table -- we go to Lumiere's.

yeah but .... did you know that a single Krispy Kreme "Traditional" Chocolate Iced doughnut has 270 Calories, 13g Total Fat & 36g Total Carbohydrates. I figure that would take approximately 5 laps at a 3.0 mph pace around deck 4 to work off each one.

... but who's counting :rolleyes1

wow! that is really exciting! more than one flavour??? i know its so sad to ask but they're such a rare treat here!

Well if they are not the actual Krispy Kremes they are an unbelievable facsimile. My son loves Krispy Kreme donuts and was ecstatic when he found them at Topsiders. Since he was the first one up every morning he delighted in running up there and bringing a big plate of them back to the room for all of us to share. And yes, they have a number of varieties including the filled donuts. Yum!

I haven't seen much info on Breakfast, so all of this is good to know. Didn't you know calories don't count on cruises????

Can i assume that dress is casual in the full service restuarants for breakfast? If I'm headed to the pool or a massage, I won't be nicely dressed.

Just the two of us, and i think that would be a wonderful change of pace for us...at least one morning.

Yes they are the real Krispy Kreme's! This was confirmed on last week's cruise by one of the chef's on the Galley Tour. In fact they are one of only 3 bakery items they don't make themselves - bagels and English Muffins are the other things.
