Can anybody who has been there reccomend an affordable breakfast stop? We're staying at HRH but will have a car. We don't relallyl need to do $20.00 breakfast buffets daily

I'm going to move this thread to the main board for more responses.

You can get breakfast right at City Walk or at one of the bakeries right inside the entrance to each of the parks. They have great breakfast sandwiches, etc.

There's a Denny's on International Drive that is probably less than a mile away.

There are lots of quick breakfast places. At your hotel, on the lowest level, is Emack and Bolios which has breakfast take-out items. At Citywalk, you can go to Pastamore...they also have quick breakfast items including a breakfast pizza. Right inside each park is a quick service restaurant...at USF it is the Boulangerie and at IOA it is Croissant Moon. These restaurants have bakery items as well as a breakfast croissant that has egg, cheese as well as a breakfast meat if you choose. They also come with a side of fruit. You can also get a cinnamon bun from Cinnabon in Citywalk or IOA.

:thumbsup2 I completely agree with this!

In addition to these, on the top level of Citywalk, there's a Starbucks and a BK Whopper Bar that sell breakfast sandwiches.

Does anyone know if any/all of the places mentioned open early enough to grab breakfast before the early entry? The Citiwalk places seem to open at 8, meaning you'd be behind if you wanted to get to HP as soon as it opened.

What I do is either grab something in the hotel or grab something at the snack booth in Hogsmeade. They have fruit cups and stuff like that. That holds me over until I need something more substantial.

First Watch on Sand Lake Rd is pretty close, probably only about 10 minutes from HRH depending on how you hit the lights.

There is also a decent IHOP on Kirkman Rd, just a few minutes from the hotel.

if you want an early breakfast, Orchid Court Lounge in the RPH lobby opens at 6:00 am every day.
it closes at 11:00 except on weekends where it is extended by an hour.

it is ala cart set up.

cereal, danish, pastries, toast, bagels (cream cheese extra), coffee, tea, soda, etc.

save your coffee cup for a free refill.

the basic breakfast foods are there and quite cheap.

There is a TGI Fridays attached to the Holiday Inn Maingate on South Kirkman rd (this is walking distance to Universal). The TGI Fridays has a breakfast buffet and I believe it was about $7.99 or so. Nothing fancy but we didnt have to wait and there was something for everyone.

Depending on what you want to eat and the quantity, I brought along prepackaged stuff...donuts, muffins, etc. for my kids last year at Spring Break time. We had stuff that didn't need refrigeration. I am getting reayd to go again this spring break in March....yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and will likely do the same.

I realize it isn't healthy and doesn't hold over for long but it was quick, easy, cheap, and we had early lunches if we got real hungry.

This way, we didn't have to wait in line or go anywhere...we just grabbed it and ate on the way to the parks. Brewed a hot chocolate from the room and took it with us as well...very convenient.
