I am curious how most of you do breakfast/3rd meal. We are planning to have the Basic Dining plan, so will most likely be using quick service/table service for lunch/dinner to take advantage of slower lines in the am. What do you normally do for breakfast. We are staying at the Pop and hoping to get a fridge swap. Do you bring a few groceries or order some and have them delivered? Seems a little expensive to just have some cereal, bagels and milk delivered. Or do you use your "snack" for breakfast? Would love advice. Thank you!!

we had 2 adults and 2 kids. we ate 2 QS meals a day using 2 CS credits at each meal supplementing with snacks as needed. this provided a light breakfast and more then enough for lunch or dinner(whichever meal we used the toher QS for)

The regular DP (1ts,1cs,1snack) is a LOT of food. I know it doesn't sound this way when you're used to eating 3 meals a day. We just got back from a week with 4 other families and we had 4 cs meal credits leftover and two of the other families had more credits than we did! It is a lot.

For breakfast - we always throw a box of cereal in our luggage. We bring a cooler or get in on a frig swap and get milk as our drinks when we eat at the food court - save the milk for the next morning for cereal. For other breakfasts - we get the cinammon loaf from main st. bakery and split those for a breakfast. And we usually schedule at least 2 breakfasts either at buffets or in the food court using cs credits.

We had our 'big' meal of the day for lunch twice and honestly, most of the adults didn't want a meal for dinner that night. So one night we got the pizza 'deal' at the food court (1 large pizza, 2 drinks and 2 desserts for 2 cs credits) and about 6 of us shared that. So we 'saved' cs credits on those days. When we do breakfast cs meals - we always share - you can get a platter with eggs, pancakes and biscuit - it is a lot.

Another thing we do is have a bigger CS breakfast one day, then get 'big' snacks in the middle of the day (like the sundaes at Fountainview Cafe in EPCOT) - then just schedule our TS meal at like 5:00.

With the DP - I personally wouldn't pay for grocery delivery...I think you will end up FINE just using the credits that you have. And if necessary - if you have to pay for a couple snacks or cs meals on the last day - it likely will be less expensive than having the food delivered.

Guests who are trying to maximize their DDP TS credits won't use them for breakfast, except perhaps for character or buffet breakfasts. Breakfasts are cheaper, and you lose the dessert allotment because there is no dessert at breakfast. If you're on DxDDP you lose the appetizer allotment as well. You'll find a lot of users who use CS for breakfast or even snack credits, or bring their own breakfast.

We were on the Quick Service meal plan. We used snacks for breakfast and bring some pop-tarts, granola bars, etc. And then use our CS meals for lunch and dinner. We also do on Character meal out of pocket. We had plenty to eat and were never hungry.

We have done a couple different things. On trips we have 7 full days and during off season when we are not rushing to the parks, we will often split 2 meals for lunch and have 2 left for breakfast. PLENTY of food to share and we add a SC if we need too. Last trip we were more concerned about time, so we packed breakfast foods to eat on the way to the bus stop or while waiting to get into the parks as we were always there before it opened. I took pop tarts, mini muffin packs, oatmeal bars, cereal bars mini boxes of cereal to eat dry etc. I had juice boxes for DS5 but we just had our refillable mugs and had that before we left the room. Both ways worked well for us. We did have a frig, but really did not use it a great deal.

wow, this is all great information. Thank you so much! I have so much to learn! I like the idea of sharing credits though, hadn't thought about that.

One other thing you might do is when you eat at your resort use your refillable mug for drinks and get bottled oj and milk as your drink. For your desserts you can get cupcakes, muffins or any type of sweet, bagels or a fruit cup. Keep your drinks and "desserts" for breakfast the next day. If you do not have a fridge keep the drinks on ice in the ice bucket. Of course, the next day you can always supplement a few things with your SC if needed.

wow!!! I just got great ideas reading this thread!
tyvm for sharing your experience! :)

We do what others have said, pack some breakfast foods and use refillable mugs and bring other drinks back to the room for later. Sharing CS really does help too.

Although, we often find that after the first day or so most of us aren't even hungry for breakfast because of all the food the day before!

We plan on doing a lot of sharing also. Use our TS credits for dinners.

Then use a child and adult CS for breakfast sharing and then a snack or two if needed for a muffin or similar. Then do the same at lunch sharing the other child and adult CS and if needed use a snack credit for fries or similar.

Other option we have is to use our snack credits for muffins/bagels/croissants types for breakfast and then use CS for lunch.

This will be our first trip to the world so we will learn as we go.
