Any suggestions for a great breakfast? I LOVE the menus at GF Cafe and at Kona's, but the kid's menu options are terrible, I'll lose half my breakfast to DD!
Ohana's is better because they get what we get, but it doesn't sound like terribly special food. I know a character meal is usually about the characters, not the food and we already have as many character meals as we really need.

It will be our non-park day, so it has be a resort restaurant but doesn't HAVE to be monorail restaurant, although that would make it easier (I think... it is just time getting there I'm concerned about... Don't want the kids gnawing their arms of from hunger on the bus!). (Whispering Canyon menu doesn't appeal.)

Any hidden gems I haven't thought of? Any suggestions would be Greatly appreciated!

I was NOT excited by the 'Ohana breakfast menu...I went to make the kids happy...but it is now my favorite breakfast because of the food!

Kouzzina (on the boardwalk) has a very interesting menu that I'd like to try. Boma breakfast sounds good, and I've always wanted to try The Wave because dinner there was so, so good.

We generally stick to character meals at breakfast: Chef Mickey's or Cape May's...and now 'Ohana. I like all of them, but I understand what you're saying about the food.

I think the kids menus are pretty standardized, especially so with breakfast. Why not go where you want & pay OOP for an adult meal for your DD? :confused3

If not, and if you will have a car, it may be worth going over to Olivia's or WPE.

Those are the two best non-buffets on property for breakfast. Our favorite is teh GFC by a nose, with Kona a close second.

As a PP mentioned, you can just pay OOP for extra for your daughter. My DW can happily split the Maple Vanilla French Toast with an extra side of two eggs at the GFC or split the Big Kahuna Platter at Kona. Portions are quite large (as with all WDW meals - bigger than one person should be eating healthily).

Wow, I'm surprised no on has mentioned Boma. It is at an awesome resort and the food if amazing.

Certainly if you want a character buffer 1900 Park Fare or Chef Mickey's would be good too. Our breakfast at Chef Mickey's had some really good food, so I wouldn't say it was all about the characters.

I too would say BOMA...mmmmmm...breakfast!!! Everything is sooo good!!

We have had breakfast at Kouzzina and really enjoyed it. In fact, it was much better than the dinner we had there. I would recommend it for breakfast.
