Hi - We are going to do Breakfast with Minnie but are having trouble deciding on the day and how to deal with Magic Morning. So here's the questions:

1) Does Breakfast with Minnie have reservations for the 1hr of MM or doesn't it start until regular park opening?

2) Can I make a reservation during a MM time and get in even if I don't have a MM left on my ticket? You now see where this is going...;)

We will be there on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and will have 1 MM to use. I'd like to use the MM on Thursday because the park doesn't open until 10am and we could for sure make a 9am opening. Ideally, I'd then like to make a breakfast reservation for 7am on Saturday and then hit the park at 8am when it opens for non-MM people.

Would this work? Otherwise, I'll probably go with a Friday breakfast reservation at regular park opening.

Thanks!

2) Can I make a reservation during a MM time and get in even if I don't have a MM left on my ticket? You now see where this is going... yes you can. they will escort you to the restaurant it you do not have a MM. I have a heard few people were able to enjoy some of the MM after there meal.

What we did on our last trip was to do the MM hours in the park and have more of a Brunch at 10:00. That gave us that extra hour in the park to get so much done and we did a lot by 10:00, which was a good breaking point for breakfast/brunch. We just had something light first thing in the morning like bananas and muffins or breakfast bars to hold us over, mainly for the kids.

If MM starts at 7am, I think the first reservation you can make is about 7:20am. If you eat and visit quick enough you can still enjoy a little of MM.

Last time we did Minnies we did it this way. Personally breakfast is not for us. We found brunch much better as everybody was hungry.

I am a little reluctant to do a late breakfast based on a past experience. Last time we did the character breakfast at the Grand California hotel. We had a 11:00 seating and it ended at 11:30. We only saw ONE character and when we complained, we were told that the characters were all gone because it ended at 11:30. Biggest disappointement I've ever had at DL or WDW. :( SOOOO...I am trying not to repeat this mistake.

Does anyone know how late the Minnie's breakfast goes? If it goes until 11:30, I'd be willing to try a 10:00 res.

I also don't really want to rush through it as we are there more for the character interaction than the "great food". HA!

I do appreciate all of the advice and opinions though! You guys are great!!! :)

Can you get into the park to go for breakfast at Minnie's if you have a reservation but don't have MM?

We always take advantage of a MM morning and book Minnies. The earliest PS is 10 minutes after the park opens for MM. So a 7:00am MM would have a 7:10 Minnie ressie.

We make the earliest reservation. We go to the number one gate about 20 minutes before opening. The marquee above gate one will be switched to Character breakfast. This is where the CMs will have the PS list. You only have to have an AP or park pass. You don't need MM access. They DO NOT escort you to the breakfast. They do give you a cute button that says "Going to breakfast with Minnie".

We have attend the breakfast in October 2010, December 2010, and in January 2011 and the routine was the same.

They really do wonderful character interaction that early. We have never made it out of breakfast to enjoy MM. We usually even miss the regular opening push.

The breakfast is well worth attending. I highly recommend it!

Thank you - I was thinking of trying Minnie's the next time, but I always hate giving up those short early morning lines for a meal. If we can make a very early reservation on the MM day we don't have access, than we wouldn't be "missing" anything.

Thanks again!

Now if I get the 3day hopper tickets do I only get 1 MM entry or do I get it for all 3 days? Thank you

I agree with this strategy. 3 hours of touring & FP collecting & then sit down to a great meal when everyone is hungry. (& when the rookies & late arrivals start strolling into DL as it starts getting crowded. :))

& 10am at Minnies or Goofy's (or Carnation Cafe for non Characters) isn't the same thing as 11am at the GCH (or PPH) for character breakfasts (two places which will definitely "wind down"). LOTS & LOTS of character interaction at Minnies at 10am.

You get 1 MM, not 3.

We like to eat at M&F at 10-10:30, they warned us we might not see many characters going that late because the meal "ends" at 11, but we did have that problem, we saw tons of characters!! So many more then we saw at GK and that meal was at 9:30! The characters at M&F's didn't leave early either, they stayed until after we left, and we left at 11:30.
