Word to the wise: make an ADR, especially if you want to eat early! We made the mistake, after having a 7:30 ADR and seeing the place mostly empty, in thinking that we didn't need one the next trip. So we show up hungry and ready to go at 7:30, and are told at the podium that they won't start seating anyone that day until 8 a.m. (even though staff was there, "lights were on," etc.) I *could* be wrong, but my assessment of the situation was that because they didn't have any 7:30 ADRs on the books, they delayed opening to give themselves more time before the onslaught. Never made that mistake again! Better to make the ADR and to run a little late (and know they'll be open and have tables available when you arrive at 7:45 or whatever) than to have to cool your heels for 30 minutes!
