Have come to the realization that due to 3 hour time difference, we'll be up & about before the parks open for upcoming trip & will have plenty of time to enjoy breakfast.

Looking for suggestions close to DLH for both quick breakfast offerings & perhaps a charactar one.

Haven't read many positive remarks re DLHs quick offerings (difficulty w/crowds, etc.?). Would we better off walking over to Millies/Minnies (not a McDs breakfast fan)...DH luvs cinnabons if there is any in the area

Might try a charactar breakfast (already have Goofys booked for dinner one night:thumbsup2 ). Was thinking Stitchpopcorn:: ...

do onsite ones let u just order "ala cart" or must u pay for the buffet, not sure we'd do it justice?

You can order off the menu at Lilo & Stitch at the PPH and at Chip & Dale's at Storyteller's Cafe at the GCH. Both get pretty high praises on this site for their food, but most prefer Lilo's breakfast for character interaction.

If you are wanting something realy quick, I would suggest Whitewater Snacks in the GCH.

The menus for all these places can be found at allears.net or at dlresortinfo dot com.

thanks, will check out the menus, may be in our budget if we can just do ala cart:thumbsup2

anybody recommend any place on Harbor?

specifically as to whether Millies or Mimis?

i checked out their menus (both for breakfast & dinner) seems to be the type of food my family enjoys & reasonable prices...is one better than the other?

as i recall millies is the closest to park entrance:confused: , hate to walk more than a 1/2 hour to find a place to eat

Try Mimi's Cafe, www.mimiscafe.com for a sit down breakfast. It is a little bit longer walk, but SO worth it. :goodvibes YUMMY!

MiMi's and Millie's are virtually right next door to each other, with Millie's being closest to the parks. I've never eaten at Millie's but hear it's good, home-style kind of food. MiMi's may have more of a selection, and I have always had great service there. The portions are quite large.

It would take you about 10 minutes from the security tents to walk to either place.

I think Mimi's is consistently good , had to get a bad meal there. The muffins are the best!

If you are looking for a quick type breakfast, right next door to Goofy's Kitchen is a coffee place, they have bagels (very good) and other pastries.

We grabbed a bagel and coffee and sat at the tables outside one morning. Nice relaxing way to start the day!

I love Mimi's too! The orange juice is fresh squeezed and sooo sweet!

Another place to consider if you don't want to leave the Disney property is La Brea Bakery at the end of DTD. We've eaten breakfast there twice and it was pretty good. They have an outside patio that you can sit at. I'm not sure how early they open, but it's before park opening (or at least it was for us). Room service might also be an option.

Mimi's is in good walking distance. As well as a Denny's and IHop on Harbor. Then there are all the Character breakfasts of course.

There is also a new Quizno's at the Carousel Inn. They supply breakfast sandwiches to the Carousel (it's not part of the hotel's regular breakfast, it's something extra to buy) so I imagine they are open in mornings hours. Might be worth glancing in to see if they are open!

We usually grab a quick bite at either LaBrea Bakery or Jazz Kitchen Express!

LaBrea in DTD is good
Mimi's is really good! Highly recommended!
IHOP and Denny's on Harbor
Avoid Captain Kidds, the food there is sub-par, the only reason they are still around is because people don't know that and they eat there and have yucky food. LOL

thank you all, have jotted down the names:)

guess it'd be easiest most mornings to just stroll out thru DTD & see if anything on the breakfast menus appeal to my picky eaters....especially DH who only eats toast, bacon & cinnabons:laughing: for breakfast

i went thru my copy of DL passporter (last issue, yet mostly outdated now i guess) & found it odd that they never mentioned mimi's, yet milli's got a decent nod:confused3 Wonder if it was deliberate or an oversight? Regardless, will probably try them both out.:thumbsup2

Passporter also mentions a place on w katella, Tiffy's, which they gave higher ratings to than milli's...seems to be equal distance from DLH as going to Harbor (if i'm looking @ the map right)...anybody eat here before?

I forgot to mention that Rainforest Cafe has awesome, and huge, breakfasts! We've eaten there a few times and we always have to share, it's so much food!

Whitewater Snacks at GC and la Brea, as others have mentioned, are good and reasonable. The breakfast burrito at Whitewater is large enough for 2, and the quiche at La Brea express was very good. Both around 7 dollars I think.

Most people who post about Tiffy's, in my reading experience, post negative things. I stepped in there one day, asking about their ice cream, and the sweet smell of their ice cream area almost knocked me out. I couldn't have eaten there if I tried b/c of the overwhelming smell.

Just in case you make it inside the parks for b'fast, if Tomorrowland Terrace is open, they have good b'fasts. They even include a beverage. Good value.

I like La Brea Bakery too. It's nice to sit out on the patio and eat breakfast and people watch, plush you can keep an eye on the security line and wait for it to get less crowded before going and standing in line to get through.

I've never been to Mimi's, Millie's or Tiffy's though. I don't like the IHop there, just because everything at that one is like $6 more a plate then it is here, I think the Denny's is the same way.

i'm finding that things are more expensive @ DL that @ WDW...or else i just haven't found all the bargin places yet;)

think we'll skip tiffy's, kwym re some ice cream smells

i couldn't find breakfast menu for rainforest on the site...anybody know the general price range?

sounds so cheap, yet travel budget is stretched to the max this year & i'm trying to economize somewhere:goodvibes
