My boyfriend and I are trying to find some good choices for breakfast. We will be on the Deluxe Dining Plan. I like character meals but i'm not sure how well he would but oh well we will be in Disney World so he can get over it! : ) We will be staying at All Star Movies and be relying of Disney Transportation only. Where is it that they serve the stuffed french toast that people talk about??

I think most get the stuffed french toast at Kona Cafe @ the Polynesian.
Can I recommend Boma's at AKL. It has a very yummy breakfast buffet and it's fun just to walk around and check out the lodge and animal viewing areas.
We also like Donald's Breakfast at Tusker House @ AK.

Cape May Cafe has a great breakfast buffet - characters. The food is really fresh and there's a great selection.

Kona Cafe is great for breakfast! The Tonga Toast there is a banana stuffed, sourdough bread that is deep fried and rolled in cinnamon-sugar. There is a stuffed french toast at Cinderella's Royal Table and the Crystal Palace breakfast has a breakfast lasagna that is fruity and yummy.

I have always wanted to try the breakfast buffet at Boma and I'm trying to figure out a way to get it in on our upcoming trip!

Chef Mickey's was awesome for breakfast! Excellent variety on the buffet, everything from the basics like eggs, bacon, waffles, cereals, danish, to more creative things like Goofy's breakfast lasagna, and breakfast pizza. Just take your resort's bus to MK and then transfer to the resort monorail and go to the Contemporary, or you could walk to the Contemporary from MK! I know you said that your BF may not want to dine much with characters, but this one is awesome, and as you said, it is Disney World!! You get to dine with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and when we went there Donald was there too. A must-do if you want to eat with the classic characters!

Kona Cafe, GF Cafe and Boma are my current favorites. Boatwrights was good too but no longer serves breakfast.

YC Galley has a nice buffet minus the characters plus you can order a la carte. Love having that option. I imagine the food on the buffet is the same as at Cape May.

I can't speak for the food at the breakfast buffet at Crystal Palace, but we are planning a breakfast there on our next trip. I got an 8:05 am ADR and I am looking forward to entering the park and getting some photos of Main Street and the Castle without crowds of people.

CP is our favorite breakfast adr. There is a nice buffet selection, which includes puffed french toast! I look forward to this on every trip :thumbsup2

Our fave non character breakfasts are Boma, Kona and Grand Floridian

My favorite breakfast at WDW (and I've had them all) is still the Crystal Palace. It's a good breakfast in a pretty restaurant.

IMO, it would be better without all the characters and little kids, but, you know, it is Disney World...you get kids and characters (and even more kids with characters.) But Tigger is sometimes very funny and Piglet is always cute. Rabbit never shows up and he's my favorite, so grrr, whatever.

I never had the stuffed french toast. It has something in it that I don't eat...pineapple? nuts? cream cheese?...I dunno, just wasn't for me. I encouraged a friend who was being indecisive to order it from room service because the DISers rave about it so and I wanted her take on it, so she did. Said it was good, but not the best thing ever, she wouldn't be raving endlessly about it.

Good luck with your decision.

DH & I always try for an early ressie at CP during each stay. We absolutely love it. The food is good, the character interaction is great. We usually go for either a birthday or an anniversary and it's so much fun. There's always alot of adults in there, not just kids so it's fun watching everyone with Winnie the Pooh & friends. We tried to get into Chef Mickey's our last time but couldn't so we went back to our favorite place - Crystal Palace. :goodvibes

All the previously mentioned restaurants are great for breakfast.

Some other good ones:
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Captains Grill
Ohana
Grand Floridian Cafe
Maya Grill
Trails End
