Hi all!

Just booked my Holiday reservations and DH would like to try some new places for breakfasts so we can have a snack for lunch and a nice dinner later. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge (first time there). We always ate at the food courts so this is a new avenue for us. Here is what I am thinking of and if you could please give me your reviews, the good, the bad and even the ugly (LOL) I would appreciate your imput. You have all been so helpful to me in the past and I would like to say THANKS!!

Kona Cafe
Whispering Canyon
1900 Park

Boma has a wonderful buffet breakfast -- standard American fare with a few special African dishes -- and you can stop and see all the animals afterwards!

Hi,WCC GREAT breakfast and fun atmosphere! I prefer GFC to 1900 for breakfast,GFC is an order off the menu and always a wonderful way to start the day! Kona Cafe, sorry I have never had breakfast here, but everyone seems to LOVE it! Just wanted to add that our favorite Breakfast Buffet is the CP in the MK. Joan

We LOVE Boma too. So relaxed, great coffee, lots of food to choose from and then a walk around the AKL as well. :)

Have fun wherever you choose! We're trying the Ohana breakfast for the first time this year.

I LOVE trying/planning all these new restaurants! I'm like a kid in a candy store. :goodvibes

Of your three choices, I can only speak for Kona Cafe. I have had breakfast there about 14 times and have never been disappointed. You can get everything from a plate of fruit, granola, yogurt & honey (Kona Delight) to the gut-busting Tonga Toast (good for sharing!). 100% Kona Cofee in a pressed pot is a must.

1900 Park fare is nice, the omlette bar is good, and there is a nice choice, but I would also say it is fairly standard breakfast buffest food.

For two adults, two great breakfasts...

hubby and I enjoy:

Fresh at Dolphin, Kona at Poly, Boma at AKL and Spoodles at Boardwalk.

Kona Cafe has the very addicting Tonga Toast. I would go here early in your trip so you could go again :thumbsup2 In April we went to Kona for breakfast and I decided to try something new ~ well I tried the Pineapple Macademia nut pancakes OMG!!!! These things should be illegal. They were incredible. The macademia nut butter was divine  This place is a don't miss. Plus if either of you are coffee people like my DH they serve press pots of Kona coffee. He was in heaven.

Another vote for Boma! Fantastic buffet, great cooked-to-order eggs and toast, dare I mention the Frunch???

We went to the Steak House in the Contempory Hotel one morning for breakfast (three adults) and found the food to be very good, great price (avg $7.00 - $15.00pp) and the monorail runs thru the hotel and you can see it while dining. Then we took the monorail to Epcot. Got there before it opened and had a great day. (Breakfast with MM is right behind/next to the Steak House, so sometimes you can see the characters dancing around thru the partically closed curtains dividing the two restaurants).

I have to chime in on the Kona Cafe. It's a wonderful family restaurant in the Poly with a few unique breakfast items. I love the Tonga Toast!!! No need for syrup, just slather on the melted butter and ask for a wheelchair to be rolled out at the end of your meal.

:rotfl:

the best breakfast I have ever had (I mean ever, not just at WDW), is the 1900Park Faire. Excellent choices, fresh cooked to order omelets, strawberry soup, wonderful selection of pastries and breakfast breads.
Plus there is icecream (ice cream is good anytime of the day).

My second choice would be Boma's breakfast: the frunch is excellent, also the made to order omelets are good. The pork and sausages are the best of any Disney breakfast restaurant.

My third choice is the Breakfast Skillet at Whispering Canyon.

I also like the character breakfasts at Crystal Palace and Donald's Breakfastasaurus.

whatever you choose, enjoy.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :cool1:
