I've done more than my fair share of meals at WDW. But at breakfast we usually do a character meal type breakfast. This August we are taking my adult dd down (her second trip with us). She loves breakfast and in the interest of saving a bit of money, we want to do some late morning breakfasts, but we don't want to do character breakfasts. She loves the Mickey waffles though.
So...figured I would come here and see what you're favorite breakfast spots are...sit down, table service. We'll be at Boardwalk. She didn't care for Boma, so that one's out.
So....any favorites out there???

Goofy, I think our favorite non-character breakfast as at Kona Cafe. I'm sure you've heard all about the Tonga Toast, but they have plenty of other stuff (no pun intended) as well. We've eaten there several times then taken a short monorail ride over to MK. If you guys are big eaters, another option would be Whispering Canyon - the breakfast skillet is pretty tasty, plus the boat ride from WL to MK is very peaceful (usually).

For a great regular breakfast...take a wak over to Garden Grove at the Swan.

You can have buffet or order a la carte. No discounts/dining plan, etc.

Just good hot food.

If you're wanting a non-character breakfast that's not too expensive and has Mickey waffles, Trail's End at Fort Wilderness could be for you. They have a buffet that is very reasonably priced and is very good, especially considering how much you spend. You can take the boat from the MK - that drops you off at the end of the resort where the restaurant is. If you come by bus or car, you will have to take an internal bus to get to where you're going.

I would have suggested Boatwrights, but they no longer serve breaky.

How about GF Cafe or Olivia's - both have really delicious sit down breakfasts. We make reservations for around 10:45 and then either skip lunch and have an early dinner or get a snack and eat dinner a bit later.

Grand Floridian Cafe and Kona are my favorites. My Mom and I love going to the GF Cafe for "brunch" when I'm in town and not visiting the parks!

how about the Captain's Grill at YC? you probably don't need ADRs because of the popularity of the character b'fast next door at Cape May. you can order off the menu or the buffet. we had it last week and liked it better than cape may's buffet. the eggs benedict were suprisingly good. and they have miniature mickey waffles which were nice & crisp.

Thanks.....great suggestions. Many of them I had just plain forgotten about. Now...off to make some choices.

We had a late breakfast at the GF Cafe and it was great. We had it while our boys were out on the Pirate Cruise. It was a nice break from the rest of the week. Highly recommended.

I remember them doing something Mickey wise, I forget what it was... it could have been the waffles but something tells me it was something else.
