We are going to WDW in June and mom wants to have breakfast at The Grand Floridian on our last morning there. I was wondering if anyone had pics of the breakfast buffet. I am also curious if 1900 Park Fare is the right choice or if possibly the Cafe would be a better choice. Any input would be greatly appreciatted

TIA,

We ate at both in November. IMHO out of three weeks of WDW meals the GF were definitely the worse (we were lucky enough to be staying at GF which is why we tried 1900 PF AND GF CAFE).

Gf cafe is fine but fine is all it is, it is a standard menu not a buffet and we found the prices for one dish each at breakfast to be about the same as a WDW buffet.

1900 PF Has wonderful characters but the food is average at breakfast and appalling at dinner.

While GAsparillas is a little basic we found that outside there is the best place to sit as you see the lagoon, Cinderella's castle and the boats and monorail. The sandwiches at lunchtime were very nice (check out the allears menus) we had lovely wraps while the children had kids meals and fries a couple of times. If you just wanted to have a closer look at GF I would suggest jumping on the boat from MK off the boat and take a right to Gasparillas have a sandwich and then go and sit in the hotel lounge to enjoy the music, returning to MK/TTC on the monorail. The grounds and views are probably the nicest at WDW the food sadly is just about the worst.

In January 2008, my family had a nice breakfast buffet at GF 1900 Park Fare. We ate in the cafe for lunch one day (so I can't comment on the breakfast foods there). We thought the cafe was good as well.

We were on the Deluxe Dining Plan and ate at many of the character breakfasts. Although this one is not necessarily the very best, it was good. We stayed at the GF for a couple of nights, so this was also a convenient place for us to eat on our last day. The characters were great- very accessible! I do not have any pictures of the buffet, but it is pretty typical... and you can always have your eggs made at the omelet station (we like scrambled eggs, but prefer they be "more done" than those on the buffets.) We had excellent service and frankly any breakfast that gives me OJ, milk and coffee is great with me. There were seven in my group and we all liked the buffet.

The counter service Grill is also good, and would be better for the budget. My group is all adults and one infant and we just prefer a big breakfast.

Food average at 1900 breakfast???? I have tried most of the character breakfasts now and IMHO the 1900 is by far the best. The quality of the food is great and the character interaction the best, It is the only character breakfast I ever bother with now. It is sooooo good! The strawberry soup, warm pecan buns, omlettes, ham - well everything is so tasty. It beats Crystal Palace hands down.
