Breakfast or lunch/dinner....can't decide

So the day for our ADRs are coming closer and closer, and while we now are very confident in our restaurant choices we are struggling to decide between the breakfast and lunch/dinner menus. The two restaurants that we are currently struggling with are both Tusker House for our Animal Kingdom day and Garden Grill for our Epcot day. What menu do you guys prefer, and why? Is one more consistently good quality than the other?

We had originally planned on going with breakfast before official park opening, but we have heard that the rest of the crowd are more often let into the park before opening hours these days. Especially in Animal Kingdom. Don't want to waste all of the possible low wait time with our dining reservation. However, we have no idea when it would be a good time to have lunch or dinner. We're just two adults so don't really need to think about eating at regular times etc. Any tips as far as to what time of day to book would be much appreciated.

We were thinking the same thing. I am allergic to egg so prefer lunch but garden grills lunch menu doesnt really appeal.

This is our plan.

PPO - GG so we can get in line for soarin

And

Brunch at TH - apparently if you get a reservation at around 10.30 you can sample lunch and dinner items. Dont know how true that is but maybe that might work?

We are in the pickle that we prefer the main meal at Garden Grill for lunch, but that giant Sticky Bun Bake keeps calling our name so we're struggling to commit to lunch/dinner.

I have heard the same about Tusker House, but with a non confirmed opening time of 9am on our Animal Kingdom day the lines should still be fairly short at 10.30. However, if people here sing the praise of the breakfast than good food will win out in our case.

I havent had lunch at GG but i've had bfast. Its delicious! So fresh and a nice variety.
For Tusker House i wasnt impressed with the lunch to be honest...but i loved the bfast.

Go with whatever food appeals to you the most.

If I’m doing table service and heading to the parks for rope drop, I’d always choose an early lunch. That way, we hit a bunch of rides, accomplish lots, then we’re starving and ready to eat.

Sorry. I realize that has nothing to do with the menus, but if you can’t decide between menus, that’s what I’d do.

I personally love TH breakfast,
I love going out for breakfast on my holidays though. (I always say to my family, that you go out for lunch or dinner with all sorts of people, bt you only really go out for breakfast with very close people - plus, the choices were great at TH)
I have never eaten at GG, but have a breakfast booked this trip!

I have not been to Garden Grill but we loved Tusker House for dinner. It had interesting and different choices for those adventurous eaters and normal buffet choices for the non adventurous types.

If you time your ADR just right at Tusker House, you can catch both breakfast and lunch offerings at the buffet. (About 30 minutes before lunch time.)
Garden Grill is a family style meal where they bring the food out to the table. Both Breakfast and lunch/dinner are good, so it just depends on what you are in the mood for.
We typically just go to Les Hales for breakfast or grab a breakfast item at a QS as we have a hard time justifying spending $40 - $50 for a breakfast we can make at home for $5.00. Ha IOO money better spent is always at lunch and dinner.

We love Tusker House and have done both lunch and breakfast and even a late breakfast when some lunch items start hitting the buffet.

It’s all good but part of the appeal for us is variety and breakfast is pretty much what you find anywhere. For my family at least we prefer lunch/dinner

I haven't been to Garden Grill since I was a kid, but I will say when I think about Epcot for our next trip, I think of all the great places there are to eat lunch and dinner type items, so I'd probably lean towards breakfast- either PPO or as late a breakfast as you can get so you can tour beforehand and then eat at 10:30ish.
Tusker Hous breakfast is great! Can't speak to lunch.

Thanks for the help everyone.

In the end I feel like we're leaning towards lunch/dinner at both restaurants. I think it boils down to that I've heard more people talk about the breakfast so I'm slightly hesitant to commit to the meal that would probably suit us better. Neither one of us have that big of an appetite in the morning so we would probably get bang for our bucks at a later meal.

We're hoping to be celebrating finally living together after 2.5 years in a long distance relationship so for us it's special just to have the opportunity to share any meal.

I had dinner at GG and really didn’t enjoy it. My husband didn’t like it so much that he said he never wanted to go back there again. The character interactions were really good though.

We would a PPO breakfast at GG at 8am and do Soarin before rope drop. We'd do a 1030/1045 "breakfast" at Tusker House - you should get a chance to try both breakfast and lunch items.

I didn’t care that much for the dinner but I’m willing to try breakfast.
