this will be our first trip. i was wonedering it seems that most people prefer character breakfast over character dinners? what are the pros and cons of each? thanks!!

It's really just personal preference.

For me it is the price that is the deciding factor - breakfast is a less expensive way to see the characters than is dinner. I also know that I will always like the food at breakfast. And if I overeat, I'll have the whole day to walk it off! :teeth:.

Have fun on your trip!

We prefer character lunches (Tony's, Garden Grill) over either breakfast or dinner. They cost a little more, but the food is a better value. We eat breakfast in our room which is always a money-saver then have a late lunch. We use it as our afternoon break, and we have the rest of the day to walk off that full feeling. After a big lunch we don't feel like much for supper and have a light snack. We're more comfortable with a big lunch than big breakfast, and it really is a great break to the point we're rested and ready to keep going.

I totally agree with the Character lunches. Breakfasts mean you have to make sure you're "up and at 'em" when you may want to just have a nice leisurely breakfast at your resort and swim, etc.
The lunches can be scheduled for late enough that they turn into an early dinner and then you just grab one of the specialty "snackie" foods around each park. If you do want to do a breakfast--be aware that the menus are fairly similar so don't expect totally different items at each breakfast--that can get a bit monotonous.
Have Fun !
