Breakfast on last day

I'm trying to figure out breakfast on our check out morning and wanted some opinions. It doesn't matter if it's buffet or order off the menu. I would rather not go back to a park in order to save time (we have a 12+ hour drive ahead of us). And it doesn't matter if there are characters there or not. We do have breakfast reservations already at Crystal Palace and Akershus and we are staying at Caribbean Beach and it's 2 adults and a 3 and 5 year old.

Thanks!

We always love the breakfast at Cape May in the Beach Club. It's a nice setting with characters and a great selection of hot and cold items.

I think 'Ohana has the best breakfast. The nice thing about 'Ohana besides the characters is that the meal is served family style so no need to worry about walking around a buffet at the end of your trip. Just relax and enjoy. The food is wonderful and has always been fresh every time we have gone. The characters right now are Mickey, Pluto, Stitch and Lilo and is called the Best Friend's Breakfast. They also have a little parade for the kids to participate in. It's a lot of fun. We usually save this as our last TS meal of the trip and it's a big hit with everyone. :goodvibes

We always do Kona cafe the last day. Love the Tonga Toast and some kona coffee

You will inevitably receive a dozen recommendations for Boma and Kona Cafe, and I cannot disagree. But I also want to suggest you consider Kouzzina on the BoardWalk for breakfast. There are outdoor tables that offer a lovely view, and the food is wonderful. I consider it a hidden gem.

We are staying at the CBR also. We were thinking of going to the food court at the CBR for breakfast on our last day. We have a long drive ahead of us too and thought this would be the easiest thing to do.

That was our original plan but we are going off property one day so we will have a meal to make up. And it looks like breakfast on the last morning would work best. Now if I can ever get into Ohana or Le Cellier then I won't have one to make up!

I have another vote for Kona Cafe and Tonga Toast. We have stopped there on our last morning on several trips.

From the standpoint that you have your car, and do not have to abide by the extra pressure of getting to the airport on time -- it sure does open all the possibilities !

My suggestions are all out of the parks:

1) Kona Cafe, for the pressed coffee, and yes, while the Tonga Toast is great, the pancakes are also top notch.

2) Kouzzina - all the options for breakfast are wonderful !

3) The Wave - good options, plus a good stop for last minute souveniors, I think the Contemporary has the best gift shops

5) Grand Floridian Cafe - light and airy atmosphere.

We booked Ohana for our last morning. I though a character meal would be a nice last hurrah and make the drive home a little less depressing!

:thumbsup2

EXACTLY what I did. 7:40AM at O'Hana for Lilo and Stitch Breakfast. Early start to last day, fun, great characters, family style...

I didn't read all the replies and don't know where you're staying but might I suggest room service?

We stayed at Bay Lake Towers and used the Deluxe Dining Plan. We had enough credits left on our last day to order a big breakfast, delivered to the room. The 4 kids (9, 6, 6, and 3) unanimously agreed that was the BEST breakfast they had at Disney. We were there for 2 weeks and did CRT, CP, Chef Mickey's, Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare, Kona, The Wave (a few times), Askershus. After all of that, in-room service was the hit. The food was hot and delicious also, something you didn't always find during the character buffets.

Grand Floridian Cafe
Kona Cafe
Boma (if you want a buffet)

I think your kids would love Cape May. The characters dressed in swim outfits...I think that would be fun since you guys are staying at CB. Great character interaction and good food.

I'd suggest Cape May at the Beach Club. The food it wonderful, it's buffet so you won't leave hungry, the character interaction is fabulous (Minnie, Goofy and Donald), the Beach Club is beautiful and the meal is very low key and relaxing.

We've been making Chef Mickey's our last breakfast for the past 3 trips or so. Food is OK, and there is enough choices that everyone (including a non-breakfast eater like myself) can find something and the kids get that last bit of Disney magic posing for pics with the characters. Even my 13-year old daughter got a little distraught when we mentioned possibly skipping it back in June (so of course we kept it in!).
