I've decided to try for a breakfast ressie for our upcoming trip in just a couple weeks. We know it's a long shot at this point but decided we'd love to try. My TA is looking into it for us and we're hoping for the best. I put down for her Ohana's or CP and was just wondering, which do you prefer? We've never been to WDW before, so we're complete novices. I'd love to hear what your thoughts are on both places!!

I prefer 'Ohana over CP but we do enjoy CP. I would do CP over 'Ohana only if you can get an ADR at CP before MK opens. It's incredible to walk down Main Street with only a few other people. The pictures turn out great! Mickey is at 'Ohana, not at CP. I like 'Ohana because the food is served family style so you don't need to worry about being away from your table as the characters are coming around. The food is also better at 'Ohana. It's our favorite breakfast at WDW! Good luck getting either ressie! :)

Where are you staying? At the Poly? When I called for our Chef Mickey's ADR the CM doing the ADR was concerned about my being able to get there from another resort (at the time we were staying at POR). She said to allow at least an hour travel time getting from resort to resort just because of the transfers need on the buses, unless you have a car or are at another monorail resort. Where getting to MK is only one bus ride.

Wow that is a very tough on since we love them both! I would say CP because we like to get in the park before it opens and take pictures in front of the castle with out other people in the background

Well, our travel agent wrote us back and she was able to get us a ressie at Ohana's! It's for 9:30am which should be good for travel from the Pop to the Poly. I've heard it is a longer commute but we don't mind so much if it is a nice breakfast.

Glad to hear some think it is a good choice. We're excited to have a nice sit down breakfast in the middle of out trip.

Do you like the food? It looks good from what i've seen!

We LOVE the food at 'Ohana! It is a must do for us for breakfast (and dinner too actually). My favorite is the Mickey waffles - they bring them fresh and hot to your table. They are the best ever!!! All of the food is delicious - glad you were able to get ADRs!

If you are worried about the time it will take to get there, a taxi is always an option. We did that when we were staying at the Dolphin.

Enjoy it!

I would have to say Crystal Palace--one of three or four restaurants we hit every trip. We've not done Ohana since they changed to family style from buffett, and took Minnie and friends out and put in Stitch--we do not like Stitch (sorry, Stitch fans).

O'hana - Definitely :thumbsup2

CP is a buffet - O'hana's food will come out freshly prepared and hot.

Also to consider... Do you like Pooh or Stitch better?

We have ADR for O'hana two mornings on our next trip.

Ohana is great fun. The characters are usually playful and the food is good. Travel at that time is definately not an issue. We have had 8 am adrs for 3 different years and only last year was a problem (I chalk that up to transportation problems at POR). We took a bus from our resort to MK and then, the monorail to the Poly. In fact, I have to say POP was the best at getting us to early morning character breakfasts. For 9:30, I don't think you'll have any problem at all. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

One more thing. If you are concerned about getting in MK early, throw away everything I said and try to get an earlier adr at CP. It really is advantageous to get there at opening - the lines build fast as the morning goes on.
