What works best? Looking at filling as well as convient - certainly don't want the family starving an hour after we get to the park. Thanks

1) Grab a bite at the resort eatery, or at the park upon entering.
2) Eating in the room is bunches-o-bucks.
3) We prefer to grab a bite in the parks.
4) It is so much more magical than eating at a resort eatery.

We'll bring muffins and juice from Costco and a bunch of breakfast bars to the park with us. Unless you have a kitchen in your room, it's going to be difficult to do much of anything filling.

I throw a couple of bags of whole wheat bagels in our luggage, and a small peanutbutter. They we use the resort foodcourt toaster. We also get the resort refillable mugs for a drink. Coffee or ice tea for me :goodvibes

Resort food courts have fairly good breakfast some better than others. we go to character breakfast or eat in food courts unless slept in and go for a brunch on counter service. we non cooking non coffee making people as far as our room goes get enough of that at home:worship:

We bring cereal and non-refridge milk that we put in the fridge after we arrive. The kids and husband usually eat that.

I bring a breakfast bar and fruit bowls for me. Plus we have been known to bring other items like non-refridgerated bacon so it will travel well, doughnuts, and poptarts.

We usually eat in the room all but 2 days for breakfast. The two days we don't eat in the room, we eat CS at the resort.

When I travel solo, I eat CS at the resort the whole time. It's a nice break from me always having to plan meals and not expensive for just me.

Hi there! We always do the breaky in the room strategy. Saves time and money. What we do is bring boxes of cereal, and plastic bowls and spoons. We have also brought muffins and cereal/granola bars. We then pick up milk and some type of fruit(usually grapes)at the resort and keep it either on ice or in the fridge(if the room has one). We also like to bring juice boxes, pop and beer to keep in the room.

Have fun:goodvibes

I know some people use the coffee maker in their room ( or bring from home) and heat up water to make instant oatmeal or whatever comes in indiv packs. My son used to heat the H20 for his Ramon Noodle fix too. ;)

We do the same as Calngavinsmom and sometimes one of us will make a run to get fresh muffins, croissants or specialty coffees (lattes or the like) from a quick service place to notch it up a bit more.

We have brought oatmeal and boiled water in the coffee maker for it. When staying at a mod with a fridge we have brought milk and cereal. Breakfast bars so far have been the most easy and popular (my DS thinks they are candy bars :thumbsup2). You can pack the breakfast bars into the park also, if people aren't hungry for breakfast when you are still in the room. They are great for breakfasts on the go.

We have a full kitchen in our Villa at AKV, we get a grocery delivery from wegoshop.com and have eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, toast, ect. We always have a big breakfast every morning.

unless we stay CL, we typically do an order from Garden Grocer online... we get milk, cereal cups (swipe spoons from food court), fruit, yogurt, pop tarts, water and powerade (my drink of choice)...

other things we have done over the years: send one person (usually me, the earlybird) to the food court and bring b'fast back for the sleepyheads... buy a bag of bagels and toast 'em in the food court, use food court butter/jelly, bring them back to the room for eating... wait 'til we get to the parks to eat (our fave b'fast is in DHS food court just before ToT & R&Rc)... actually sit and dine in the foodcourt (typically splitting meals as one b'fast can be stretched to save $/credits)...

We usually do a run early on to Walmart and buy muffins, bananas, apples, grapes, cereal, milk, etc., and then use our CS credits for an early lunch (11:30--before the crowds get in for lunch). Then we use one of our snack credits midday and have like a 6pm dinner.

Midweek we will usually pay for a CS breakfast.

We'll have a fridge in our room. Our plan is to buy some yogurt and fruit to keep in our room. Once we get there, we can grab something from the bakery the night before and bring to our room. I plan to TRY to eat healthy for breakfast and lunch. Dinner...that's a whole other story!:rotfl2:

We always do breakfast in our room. when we stayed at POR, we would bring cereal, donuts, bagged muffins and then buy milk to keep in the room.

at BLT, we still bring cereal, but I love to run to the Contemp and grab fresh muffins and croissants! or on the way out from MK stop in the bakery and grab some goodies!

Bagels and peanut butter! That's a great idea! We usually bring the small cereal boxes that we buy at SAMs Club and get milk when we arrive. But bagels and peanut butter sound like a great alternative. I think I'll do that for our next trip.

I don't think anyone mentioned it, but you can buy everything you need for a decent breakfast in the resort gift shop. They have cereal, juice, milk, bread or bagels, pop tarts, cream cheese, peanut butter, jelly, cheese sticks, granola bars, lunch meat like Oscar Meyer Bologna. Lots of choices and you don't have to worry about grocery delivery or going out to the store when you get there.

Our faves for the quick in-room breakfast are cereal, bananas or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. If you don't have a fridge in your room, then you can pick up a smaller size milk so you don't have to store it.
