Breakfast ideas?

DH and I want to do a decent breakfast (as in more than a doughnut or granola bar type) one morning. Being his difficult self, he doesn't want to eat anywhere we ate on our last trip. That leaves out Crystal Palace and Akersus (I'm bitter about both because I wanted to try breakfast at one of them) Not that we ate breakfast at either......but it still matters to him....

We're staying at the CR so my thoughts were on Chef Mickey's but I've heard bad reviews since I've joined this board last year. Yeah....little wary of that. So any other good recs??

Try the breakfast at Ohana. We have always enjoyed the food and the characters, and its just a quick monorail ride from CR.

I'd suggest the Grand Floridian Cafe, the Kona Cafe or if you want a buffett - go with Boma's!

Cinderella Royal Table is our favorite! The food is really good and there is just something magical about eating inside the castle & looking out at the park:wizard:
If you are too late to get a reservation there we love 1900 Park Faire's Supercalifragilistic Breakfast also, and Hollywood & Vine has a good buffet(with playhouse Disney characters).

Thank you! We still have a couple weeks to decide (I have DH already looking at menus-HA)

I think I'm going to try to convince him CRT is a good idea. That'll get us into MK early (hopefull) and it won't be CP. If he shoots me down, we may try Boma!

Kona Cafe at the Poly is wonderful. The macadamia pancakes are super yummy! And it's only a hop skip and jump away from the Contemporary.

I want to try some new ones this trip also and alot of people suggested Boma, so I'm trying that. Tuskar House is really good, one of my favs. Oh I'm also trying Kona for the Tonga Toast. Have a great trip.

We really enjoyed 1900 Park Fair. My kids are older but loved the Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins and Alice and it's a beautiful setting and we were there for the holidays and got to see the tree and gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. It is kind of fun to check out the resorts.

The strawberry soup that many rave about was ok but a little sweet for me but the omlet bar was great. Lots of variety and the convenience of being on the monorail made it easy to get to the MK or Epcot afterbreakfast.

We also really enjoyed the Cape May Buffet at the Beach Club. It wasn't very crowded, we snapped the pics with the major players who were friendly and interactive enough for us (my kids are older so a little play, a quick pic and a hug is all we need) We secured the first ressie of the morning there and finished in time to make the easy walk through the International Gateway and got to FW way before the crowds and we were able to rind Soarin' twice, Test Track and Mission Space early so we could spend the rest of the day meandering through whatever suited us.

We did breakfast at Boma on that trip too and it was nice. Lots of variety but in all honesty, had we not been staying at AKL where it was convenient I'd not likely make a special trip to do it.

Hope that helps and have fun.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned The Wave as a good breakfast option. Having read Karin's (dizneeat's) latest reviews, I am anxious to try it for breakfast myself in August.

This past Feb. We stayed at the CR and ate at Chef Mickey's for its convenience and atmosphere.
It most certainly satisfied both of those expectations!
The food was delicious (how can food at WDW not be? :) ) but not the best I've had.
I'm looking forward to trying Kona on my next trip!

1900 at GF was very good. They have a good omelet station and good food choices. I liked Crystal Palace better but since you want something different, i would go with 1900.
