Hi, we are going on our first trip to Universal next week after going to WDW many times in the past. We are staying at the Royal Pacific. Does anyone have any ideas for a quick breakfast before heading to the parks? When we have been at WDW, we have picked up something at the food courts at the onsite hotels we have stayed at. Does the Royal Pacific have a food court or a place to get a quick breakfast? It also looks like City Walk has a restaurant to get take out pastries. Would that be on our way to the parks from the Royal Pacific? Any suggestions would be appreciated -- thanks!

We stayed at the RPH in November. You can grab a pastry in the bar area near Tower I. You can also grab pastries, croissants etc. at Universal Studios. There is a Boulangerie(spelling?!?!) on the right hand side as you walk in. We ate there a couple of times and enjoyed it. You can also get snacks, like poptarts and cookies in the gift shop which is also near Tower 1. The RPH is an awesome resort. I hope you have great time. :thumbsup2

Here are my picks for breakfast:

Royal Pacific Resort - Orchid Court Lounge
They have bagels, hot cinnamon rolls, pastries, cereal, juice, etc. This is the place that agbyrom first mentioned. It's fast & easy. Just grab a tray, pick up what you want, pay, sit down & eat. :)

Royal Pacific Resort - Islands Restaurant
If you decide to take a longer breakfast than I recommend Islands. The coconut pineapple macadamia pancakes & Tahitian French toast w/caramelized bananas & cinnamon butter are wonderful! They also have a great breakfast buffet.

CityWalk - Cinnabon & Starbucks
Fast, easy & good. If you take the walking path from RPR you'll take a right at Margaritaville to get to Cinnabon or Starbucks and a left to get to the parks. In my opinion, it wasn't a big hassle or anything like that.

Islands of Adventure - Croissant Moon Bakery
They're located just inside the park, they have ham, egg & cheese croissants, muffins, fresh fruit, eclairs, etc.

I hope you have a wonderful time! :teeth:

Croissant Moon at IOA and the Boulangerie at Universal are really yummy. The boulangerie breakfast croissants are even better than those at Croissant Moon in IOA. We always eat at these two establishments. The Croissantwiches are excellent and very reasonably priced.

Ditto on what Damo said..

Those two are usually our choices for breakfast if the park opens early. OR we just eat a huge lunch about an hour after park opening..

Thanks to everyone who responded -- you have given me some good suggestions. I'm sure we will try a few of them, especially the ones with pastries -- my kids really enjoy them. Thanks again!

Universal doesn't really have food courts, that's something I like about the Disney All Star Resorts.
If you can, stop at Publix before checking in and pick up a styrophome cooler, doughnuts, and milk. Not to mention a bottle of wine and beer.
Eating breakfast in your room will save you a ton of time.

Yes, you'll have FOTL, but you still want to arrive early if you want front seat rides on the coasters. Plus you want some drinks when you go back to your room, so it's good to stock the cooler.
