We're staying at ASMusic. EMH at MK starting at 8 am. I have a surprise KTTK tour booked for DH and me at 9:30. Was planning on going to the Main St. Bakery first thing after rope drop, but am hearing lines will be out the door.

WWYD for breakfast?

if you're going to MK for EMH I'd just grab a muffin & coffee at the resort food court before you go to the park...why waste EMH time eating breakfast? What's the point of going to EMH if you're not going to be doing rides? That first hour is MAGIC for rides, and then you have to go to your tour. By the time you get done with that 9:30 tour, the lines are going to be getting LONG.

oh you're making me regret the tour

I just thought we'd grab something quick at the bakery and then go hit a few rides/get FP before the tour?????

I've heard the food courts are madhouses first thing in the morning too..what time do we need to leave to drive over to MK? (we're driving, not taking the bus...last day staying on prop)

If you are driving you will park at the TTC and take the ferry or monorail over to the MK, so factor that into your equation. I'd give myself at least 45-60 minutes from leaving the park to getting to the actual entrance of the MK.

You have an hour and a half before the tour. If you are there at rope drop and head right to the MSB the line will not be out the door or else you will be in the front part of it and it will move quickly. You will still have time to eat and ride something, grab a fastpass to use later, and still make your tour.

Don't cancel the tour - you won't regret it. I'd only cancel the tour if it is your only day in the MK and you've never been before.

If you head to MSB at rope drop you should be fine and I find the line moves fast anyway.

Grab and go ... munch as you walk and you will still get all of Fantasyland done before your tour.

Good luck!

Another option since you are driving yourself - there's a McDonald's just past the AS resorts on the way to the park. You could pick up something there in the drive-thru.

Thanks!

Would you recommend leaving the car at the hotel and taking the bus? I thought driving ourselves would be faster but maybe not??

Thanks to everyone else too :)

It is very unlikely that you will save time by driving yourself. In fact, it's almost guaranteed to take longer.

You will almost definitely save time taking Disney transportation. The buses drop guests off at the Magic Kingdom's front gates. If you drive, you will park near the Transportation and Ticket Center and transfer to either the ferry or monorail. This is not the case at any other park, where the parking lot is adjacent to the entrance.

If you arrive at rope drop, you will not have to worry about a crazy wait at the bakery. You will be in the initial horde! Grab a quick breakfast and munch while heading to the Fantasyland attractions and prepare.

Have fun on the tour!
