Is it reasonable to get Protein Boxes from Starbucks the night before and keep them in our fridge to have the next morning before heading out to the park? Would the fridge have room to hold two boxes?

If you have nothing else in the fridge, there should be plenty of room for protein packs, if they are the containers I am picturing in the deli case...

Other ideas (kind of depends on length of your stay):

Craftsman Grill is open for breakfast at 6:45 AM currently. See if this fits in your morning schedule.

Mobile order Starbucks. Send a runner to pick it up if you want to have it in the room. Or pickup on your way and eat on the go. *Recent reports say mobile order has not been available in the morning. Very concerning. If no mobile order, the line can be VERY long.

Order groceries and have them delivered (Vons/Amazon/Instacart). Focus on dry goods. Or, bring a soft cooler in your luggage and use the ice machines for additional cold storage. We've never had a problem storing some dairy, juice, and others in the regular hotel fridge.

Use a car service like Lansky from the airport that includes a grocery stop. Or take a Rideshare/Taxi to the grocery, then another to the hotel when done shopping. :thumbsup2

We just returned from a trip Nov 13-17. Mobile order was unavailable at both DTD Starbucks during our entire stay, at least in the morning. I went every morning to the SB's West location (nearest to DLH) and they had to really hustle to try and keep up with things. I don't think mobile order would have been possible without more staff. I generally went fairly early (between 7--which is opening time--and 7:30) and there was always a line, usually about 9 people ahead of me when I got there. It tended to move slowly because most people were ordering multiple things that usually included both food and beverages. Every morning I saw at least one person purchasing for a whole group of workers; once, the woman who was the runner went out carrying 3 huge carrying cases of drinks as well as some food bags. I could never be trusted to do that and not drop it :D . Anyway, they ordered all different kinds of drinks that required more time than just a regular latte or something simple, and that seemed to be the kind of thing most people were ordering, often needing the barista to do off-menu things. That all takes time so the wait was longer than I would have expected. The staff were very nice and patient with everyone and I think the time of day was a big part of why it was slow, because many were purchasing not just drinks but breakfast and lunch items, too.

That’s it. I’m packing my $9.99 Walgreens drip coffee pot from like 20 years ago, cause I might literally explode with the lack of food and beverage options available in DLR right now.

No MaxPass, No reliable SB…disclaimer I live where there’s a SB on EVERY corner. No joke.

This current situation will NOT fly to Neverland for the DH.😆 I appreciate the advance warning!! ⛔

That's probably not a bad idea if your hotel doesn't have one. The resort hotels only have Keurigs now. It would take a lot of pods and single-cup turns for my group. I have a little pot I got at a thrift store for a couple of dollars. I may bring that next time! Forgot to mention that you can mobile order from the Market House coffee place at DLH but I never tried that.

I kid you not, that was exactly what I did for my stays in September and October in a DVC studio. I need good coffee every morning before leaving my room. I brought my Keurig mini and coffee. And every morning I had my coffee on the balcony 😇
On a side note, I also keep a Keurig mini in my owner’s locker for WDW trips 😆

I have no problem being at Craftsman Grill at 6:45 every morning if it means I can get coffee and breakfast for my party and take it back to the hotel room while everyone gets ready. If I'm there at 6:45 or even maybe 5 minutes before, would it be uncrowded enough to get in and get out in a reasonable time frame?

Do GCH guests still get free coffee at the Craftsman Grill in the morning? On our last visit in November 2019 we were able to show our room keys and get drip coffee and cocoa in the mornings. Is that a thing of the past? If so, I'll be really bummed!
