Breakfast - H&V vs. Cape May?

What would you choose? I'm having an internal debate since H&V puts us in the park at opening :santa:

Without question I would choose Cape May for breakfast. It is one of the most enjoyable character breakfasts on property.
I do not care for H & V at all.
Do the characters present matter to your family?

I think the kiddos would be fine either way. DS3 likes all the characters at H&V but it's our last day and I'm kind of looking forward to just taking it a little slower. If we go to Cape May, we'll taxi it over I guess (staying at BLT) to make it easier and then just head over to DHS and enjoy the park. If we don't get to ride some of the rides, then so be it.

I've been wanting to try Cape May for a while now and have heard great things about both their breakfast and dinner.

Until last week I would have said H&V, but after my visit last week I'm no longer a fan. Both had great character interaction, and the food was largely the same. (Cape May was slightly better, but it is still basic breakfast fare)

The problem was getting into H&V and rope drop. Unlike Magic Kingdom, who didn't even check if we had ADR for breakfast, HS had one person slowly verifying you were on the list. It was slow. They also waited until 8am exactly to start this process, we arrived at H&V 15 minutes later. From there we had another slow march into the restaurant. We were seated 25 minutes after out 8:05 ADR and we were at the gate and past security at 7:55.

In years past H&V had their own rope drop area along echo lake. You would be inserted into the main rope drop crowd as they were escorted down. (And at the front of the line) This isn't the case anymore, you just merge in with the crowd back on the main street. We were out there 5 minutes before rope drop and basically at the back. The main advantage to early admission has been eliminated. The difference is huge, your wait at TSM goes from 5 minutes to 20+.
