Breakfast during MM?

I know I have read threads about this, but searching is not working for me!

If you do not have a MM entry but want to eat breakfast early at the park like at Carnation Cafe or Plaza Inn for Minnie & Friends breakfast how does that work or can you only eat there during MM if you have MM entry on your PH's(which we don't)?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

If you have a reservation for before the park opens, or during MM when you don't have or want to use the MM credit on your PH you certainly may.

You enter through the far left of the gates, it will say character meals(I don't know if there is preopen CC meals, or maybe nobody talks about that). You are somewhat guided down to the Plaza Inn. After you eat you can stay in the park and if it's a MM day go on ride, if not wait behind the rope.

You can get into Minnie & Friends character breakfast during the MM hours without an MM ticket. We did this over Spring Break. MM started at 7 a.m., and our ressie for Minnie's was for 7:10 a.m. After you go through security, you head over to the gate which is furthest to the left. I believe it says "Character Breakfast," and there are CMs there who hand you a Minnie's button, check to make sure you are on the reservation list, swipe your tickets, and then send you on your way to the Plaza Inn. It was a great choice for us on our last day at the parks after we'd already used our MM!

Exactly what happened with us. They did not pay any attention to us after we went in. If we wanted to, we could have just went ahead and skipped breakfast and rode rides. Of course, that is not honest, so we would never do that. We were super excited to eat breakfast with Minnie!! Plus, when we were done eating and had seen all the characters and were in the park about 5 minutes before rope drop.
