Hi all,

My wife and I are booked in for our first trip to Disney World in October (my second, but first as an adult) and we are staying at the All-Star resort. I have some questions that hopefully some of you will be kind enough to help me out with :

1) What do you suggest for breakfast if we are staying at the All-Star resort? I would rather eat before we get to the park, what do All-Stars offer for breakfast and about how much would we need to spend each morning?

2) I notice the buses start running 1 hour before the parks open. How long is the bus ride from the hotel to the parks? Is there any advantage of being at the parks 30 minutes before they open instead of 10 minutes before they open?

Thanks a bunch!

Welcome to the DIS, lal32!

I've never stayed at the All Star Sports before, but I have stayed at the All Star Music. Their food courts are similar. They have a selection of pastries (bagels, muffins, donuts, etc). You can also get hot food like bacon and eggs, and waffles. They will probably have a selection of cereal boxes as well. Depending on whether you get a hot or cold meal, breakfast will probably cost between $5-10 per day.

If you are planning on eating at the food court a lot, you may want to purchase a refillable mug for your trip. They cost around $12 plus tax, and you can refill them with soda and coffee for the length of your stay. If you are staying for a week, it pays for itself with just one cup of coffee a day, and you get a cute mug to bring home as a souvenir.

As for the transportation, I don't really see a huge difference to get there 30 minutes early as opposed to 10 minutes early. You'll just be further behind in the lines at the gates, and might not get into the park until five or ten minutes after opening time. I usually just shoot to be there by opening time. I'd rather spend that extra time relaxing at my resort than standing in line to get into the park. I tend to get to the bus stop about 30 minutes before park opening time.

Hope that helps. Have fun planning your trip!

Hello,

Not sure if you are trying to save money, but we usually buy a styrofoam cooler to put our Milk in. I bring dry cereal from home and plastic bowls and spoons. It's a quick meal to get you started in the mornings and you save the cost of breakfast each day. We do buy the mugs for the coffee/soda. One person heads out for the coffee while the other gets ready for the day.

Sorry for any spelling mistakes. Fingers are not working to well on Easter Sunday. Have a great day.
Enjoy your trip. :sunny:

Thanks for the help. Sounds all fairly easy to me. Maybe hit the foot court at 8:00am to be ready for the buses at 8:30. We are used to getting up at 6:00am, so this will be nice.

I would get the food court a little early because it can be a little wait for there.
