We're having breakfast at Cape May (Disney's Beach Club Resort) on our Epcot day. Is there an alternate, closer entrance/transportation through that side of Epcot that we could use? Or is the main gate the only option?

Yes there is. International gateway entrance which is just East of the Beach Club.

Cape May is notated by the yellow / green star. International Gateway is the yellow . red star and the distance between the two is slightly over 1/4 mile (5 minute walk).

Actually, the main entrance isn't even an option.

Well, what time is your breakfast? It kes a while to get from the front entrance to the International Gateway. You might do better by going to DHS and take the boat to Beach Club.

Oh, I thought you meant the main entrance was closed for construction or something. Our breakfast is at 8:05 am, park opens at 9 am. We are driving.

In that case, you'll need to drive to the Epcot parking lot and use the Main entrance. You can't leave your car at the Beach Club.

Well, I'm glad you asked and provided me that extra info! I wouldn't have known. Is there a place where I can find out about all the Disney public transportation/routes available?

Driving actually changes your options:

Option 1: Drive to Beach Club for breakfast and park in the resort's self park lot. After breakfast, drive to the EPCOT main entrance/parking.

Option 2: Drive to Beach Club and valet park ($). That way, you can leave your vehicle at BC after breakfast and walk into EPCOT via the International Gateway entrance.

Yes, you can. I have.

The official line, I believe, is that complimentary resort parking is for 3 hours or less. Whether and how much this is enforced is the subject of some debate.

However, you can valet park and leave your car at the Beach Club for as long as you wish. The cost is comparable to the cost for visitor (non WDW resort guest) parking in the Epcot lot.

I'm staying at AOA. Does this change my options? Can I park all day at Beach Club if I'm staying at on of their resorts?

Unless you are staying at Beach Club you would need to valet in order to park there all day- even if you are staying onsite at another resort. You can park there to have your meal and then move your car.

You can park at the BC for 3 hours while enjoying the amenities of the resort (dining, shopping), but you cannot park there all day unless you valet ($20 + tip). Free parking applies to your resort, the theme park parking lots and for 3 hours while visiting another resort.

You can park in the Epcot parking lot and walk through Epcot to get to the BC. After breakfast you can re-enter Epcot via the International Gateway.

I'll throw in another option here.
Park at DHS or take the bus from your resort to DHS. take the boat to Beach Club. Walk to International gate at Epcot. at the end of the day take the boat from International gate back to DHS.
The boat trip takes a while. If you ADR is 8:00 I'd be at the boatdock at DHS by 7:30.

But my ADR is at 8 AM and Epcot opens at 9 AM. I don't think they will let me walk through the park before it opens, correct?
