Hi

New to this wonderful site, loads of information I didn't know about even though we've been going to Disney for 8 years.

We love to eat breakfast out every morning and wondered if you can recommend any good hotels with buffet breakfasts as we are a bit tired of Golden Corral, Shoney's etc. Please include prices if you know them.

Thanks
Holly

I would try to found some local buffet breakfeast in Orlando. Try some the mom and papa place for breakfeast. They usually served a tradtional southern breakfeast.

At least I know they do here in TN they do. I rarely go to the Shoney's and Golden Corrals where I live because we have so many breafeast papa and mom place served excellent food.

Thanks Crazelion for your suggestion. I shall take note and look out for them when we arrive in August.

Hi onlyholly -

Welcome you to the DIS! Of the many hotels that include a hot breakfast buffet, we have always found the Embassy Suites chain to be good and very consistent. We've enjoyed stays at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista and found it so nice to just ride the elevator down to the atrium restaurant to eat before hitting the parks. This location is the closest to WDW and convenient to the Crossroads shopping center and Downtown Disney.

There are also many who prefer theHoliday Inn Family Suites. They also offer a hot breakfast and kids eat free at lunch and dinner as well. Try doing a search to read past reviews.

Thanks Steve, will check it out in August. Thanks for your reply and warm welcome.

Hi! If you're looking to visit a hotel & eat breakfast there (wasn't quite sure if you want somewhere to stay or just somewhere to eat) I've heard the marriott orlando world center breakfast is decent. I know the marriott around here is good and less expensive than other hotel buffets.

Here's the thread http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=379496

Of course, once you start getting up there in price, it's worth looking into Disney buffet breakfasts! We really liked Boma at the animal kingdom lodge. No characters, so it wasn't crazy there. Good & interesting food plus made to order omlettes. Kids under 3 are free, kids under 12 are less than adults.

One thing about the Embassy Suites, I don't think their breakfasts are open to the public - only guests (breakfast is included in your rate).

That said, the ES-LBV has had some great rates listed on this board lately -- particulary when you include their breakfasts which my family really likes. They have a hot breakfast bar, but you can also order anything else you like cooked at the grill.

Thank you all for your help and great suggestions. We have our accommodation booked (Hilton Grand Vacation Club), just wanted somewhere different to have breakfast other than Golden Corral etc. I'll email a few of the mentioned hotels and see if they accept non residents. Thanks again.

Trails End Buffeteria at Ft Wilderness is also a family favorite for breakfast, and it's reasonable.
