My fiancee and I want to sleep in on our first day at Disney, grab a late brunch at a breakfast buffet, relax, then head to MNSSHP that evening. We would appreciate any recommendations on which buffets are the best for breakfast.

We are adventurous eaters and only really require that there be breakfast meats of some variety during the meal. We'd also like to eat somewhere not inside a park as we won't be using any park tickets that day.

Thanks!

Boma at AKL!! Such a great buffet breakfast and I think they serve until at least 11. The Frunch juice is yummy and the selection and food quality is excellent! If you are even just slightly adventurous I don't think you will be disappointed :thumbsup2

NOTE: This is a new location for a breakfast buffet. The
buffet has significantly increased its variety, and now is
very much worth the visit. At just under $20 per adult, it
is extremely reasonable for a WDW buffet. For breakfast, it
is probably the best-kept dining secret. it has Mickey
waffles and delicious sweet potato pancakes. They use
local fresh fruit and vegetables. For those with a smaller
appetite, one can do the usual ala carte breakfast menu.

I second the recommendation for Boma! There is a lot of variety and I think there is enough that is different then the normal breakfast buffet to interest an adventure eater. Also, Animal Kingdom Lodge is fun to explore if you have never been there before!

Absolutely agree with Boma. Best breakfast buffet in DW. Many of the traditional breakfast foods and additional offerings with an African overtone so perfect for the adventurous eaters. Also, Frunch juice!

Afterwards go outside to see the animals and talk to the CMs. There are also African art and artifacts throughout the lobby and a gift shop with many unique items.

Trails End at fort wilderness campground. The breakfast buffet is only $14.99 plus tax and tip and the food is GREAT! You have the bonus of the Mickey waffles and real bacon!

My Fiancée and I went to the wave on a whim because we were staying at Contemporary and were surprised at how good it turned out to be. There were hardly any other diners which was nice to get away from the crowds at some of the more popular places and eat in a quiet setting. The theme isn't as good as other places but the food was good when we went.

I also liked the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club. They had nice choices, and the waitress even brought me something off the menu that I wanted to try. It was not crowded at all. Probably not very adventurous, but still good!

Another vote for Boma. My family loves this place and the atmosphere of the AKL is great too. Definitely not your typical buffet.

I tried Captain's Grille last trip and loved it as well. The quality of the food was impressive. Great service here too.

I can't wait to try the Wave next trip, as I read great reviews all the time.

I also vote Boma. Although i have never been there, i have heard great things about it. I know you'd find a variety of foods that you wouldn't find at a typical breakfast buffet. I'd also suggest the Wave too.

I've never been to Boma, but I don't recall hearing any bad reviews of it. It definitely goes on my list for our next Disney vacation!

Boma and Tusker House are great and pretty similar. A bit more adventurous than the other options. Both have frunch, too!

We love Boma, and will be going back for the third time next trip! Something for everyone here, and the location is prefect! Try the carved turkey here- it sounds weird for breakfast, but it's my husband's favorite- excellent! Give yourselves some time to check out the resort too.

One vote here for Cape May Cafe at BC - yummy food and you get to meet Minnie, Goofy and Donald in their beach outfits!

We go every trip! A great variety of unique foods and a beautiful resort to check out as a bonus!! Have breakfast and check out the animals when your done! :thumbsup2

Okay, we weighed out options and, although sweet potato pancakes at the Wave really piqued our interest, Boma it is! I made my fiancee watch a youtube video of each buffet and when he heard that there was the possibility of grilled asparagus on the Boma breakfast buffet he was sold.

Thank you all so much for your advice, everyone. It has been invaluable!

Yes, Boma! That's our usual last morning breakfast. We get their latest time, around 11:00. So when we leave, very few people left but the food is still hot and plentiful.

I read this thread and decided I needed to try Boma lol. But, I was trying to get reservations as late as possible on the morning we're leaving but the latest available was 9:35.
