Hi! This is my first time planning my own Disney trip as an adult. I have previously been with my parents and they planned the trip. I’m staying off site at an Air BNB because I’m bringing my dog. My trip is planned for the end of December-beginning of January. This is an adult only, no children trip.

I have been looking at the breakfast/brunch menus and pictures of the food to plan which reservations I want. I’m not really interested in paying for breakfast food that I can make myself at home. Most of the Disney breakfast menus are eggs, sausage, fruit, bread. The only restaurant I have seen that looks worth the visit for brunch is Homecomin’. Is there a brunch/breakfast place I’m missing that’s worth the visit? Lunch and dinner have so many choices, but breakfast looks really boring. I’m planning on skipping breakfast except for Homecomin’. I really love buscuits and gravy and their brunch looks very unique. Am I missing anything? Thanks!

While expensive, I think breakfast at Topolino's (Riviera resort) is very good (currently offered every day up to 12:15). It's a modified character meal (characters walk around the restaurant and pose at a distance from tables for selfies etc.) so you get a bit of Disney and the food is very good - there's a steak and polenta dish on the menu if traditional breakfast dishes aren't your thing.

I also think the weekend-only brunch at Wine Bar George in Disney Springs is pretty great. The burrata and avocado dish is amazing and carafes of mimosas don't hurt.

I've not been but have heard great things about the sing-along dueling pianos brunch at Boathouse (also Disney Springs). There are a lot of videos on YouTube and it looks really fun and unique. Think this is weekends only too.

I plan entire trip schedules around the California Grill brunch days, LOL.
Cost a bit more but worthy IMO. Take a look at the menu and see if it appeals to you. Happens on Sundays and as we normally aim for a
late ADR that’s pretty much our heavy meal for the day.

Also like the food at Morimoto for a brunch type meal with each of us ordering a different dish and passing it around.

I can readily get Homecomin’ style of food at home so haven’t eaten there to date.

Cant recall if Raglan Road has a formal brunch but they’ve plenty of dishes that fit the bill.

Brunch at California Grill is AH-MAZING but unfortunately not currently offered. Really hope they bring it back! Totally agree it is worth planning your day around!!

That’s just wrong on too many levels, sniffle sniffle. Yes to bringing it back! 💗
I didn’t realize that Bar George has a brunch now but love the food and atmosphere there. The man and I had our last New Year’s Eve dinner there and it was quite memorable. Adding GB to my next trip must do’s 🙂

I’m w you on breakfast. I hate when eggs cost more than a burger and fries, just seems so wrong.

So saying, I love your plan of breakfast in your rental before heading out. Plus the time suck if bfast. In your rental bfast can be made, coo Sumer, dishes in dishwasher and done in 30 minutes. TS bfast allow at least an hour. We tend to stick to an earlier TS lunch vs bfast.

Our family always does a character breakfast on our departure day. With our recent trip, we decided to do breakfast at Ale and Compass at Disney's Yacht Club because we didn't think a character meal was worth it. That breakfast was so good! My daughter had the blueberry bacon pancakes, my husband had the dark chocolate waffle ("Dried Cherry Compote, Espresso-Mascarpone Cream, Chocolate Shavings, and choice of Sausage or Bacon"), and I was boring and had the oatmeal. Both of their meals were excellent. In fact, my husband is rethinking this whole "character" breakfast thing now because the non-character breakfasts have the better food.

Ale & Compass has an interesting breakfast/brunch menu. 957DC71A-D303-48AE-A618-D83C9C7ACF25.pngB40C3A89-CE15-4C48-8FD6-8492D803FBDB.png7171A9F1-084F-49D0-A6F9-D7A5086C8F2E.png
It’s good to do on an Epcot morning. Have breakfast at Yachtclub and then stroll into International Gateway around 10-10:30am if EP is opening at 11a.

I don’t know if it will open up by then but Boma at AKL has a great breakfast buffet. We also enjoy Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Ok, I was thinking about trying whispering canyon cafe for breakfast. I might do that. I keep hearing about Boma. I hope it opens by December. Thank you!

Grand Floridian Cafe has had a brunch menu every day. So you can get breakfast or lunch type food.

Thanks y’all for all the brunch/breakfast tips! Very helpful! I still have to wait until October to make my reservations, unfortunately. I’m so looking forward to going on my trip!

I keep hearing great things about the breakfast wraps at Ronto Roasters in Star Wars land. Bonus—no ADR needed.

Eggs are not my favorite, so I always look for other types of breakfast like grits. I've heard good things about House of Blues & City Works at Disney Springs, but I haven't tried it myself. I also like the regular Ronto Wrap that's available along side the breakfast version in the mornings. The House of Blues website is promising the return of their Gospel Brunches which definitely had a larger menu than what's currently offered but I'm unsure what the menu will look like when it does return. I also have heard wonderful things about California Grill's Sunday Brunch so I'm hoping it will return soon as well. Have a look at the menus to see if it appeals to you.
