It's looking like the Breakfast and Beyond character dining experience at Hollywood & Vine at the Disney-MGM Studios will be delayed a little longer. We're now hearing rumors that the meal will not begin service until the beginning of June. Another rumor that we're starting to hear is that the character meal will take place at both breakfast and lunch, possibly endangering the working name of the meal.

Reportedly, characters at the meal will include a virtual "Who's Who" of Pixar characters, including Buzz Lightyear, Sarge (of Green Army Men fame) and Mr. Incredible. Of course, none of this is final until they actually start holding the event.

In talking with a CM a while ago, they said one of the major hurdles was Buzz's large unflexible wings and him being able to navigate around the tables. I wonder how they found a solution.

Just push the red button to close the wings. :lmao:

Or have Buzz stationed in the middle and people can walk up to him to take photos, similar to Crystal Palace where they usually have a character posted by the buffet for pictures.

From Mouseplanet.com:

Last week, we reported a rumor that the Toy Story Breakfast and Beyond character meal at Hollywood & Vine in the Disney-MGM Studios would be delayed, but possibly transformed into both breakfast and lunch. We have heard a new rumor that the meal has now been delayed further and possibly cancelled due to concerns from folks at Pixar about how their characters were to be portrayed in the show. It's possible that the meal may go on with the character meet-and-greets, but without the planned Green Army Men show. We'll let you know as we're able to get confirmation or denial of this change.

Is this John Lassetter flexing his muscles? I hope so.. I can't stand when Disney does something half hearted just for the sake of doing it...

Is John Lassetter really concerning himself with one character meal in one park? I hope the new meal is up by Christmas.
