Breakfast before park opening

A lot of us had this issue as 8:45 seems to be the default if you just select 'breakfast'. If you try again for BOG, select 8:00 instead of breakfast on the dropdown time menu.

Thank you so much. I got 8am at BOG which is a much better option. I would have never known to do that.

Often just weeks out. This has happened to us in mid-December. Fridays and Saturdays are higher likelihood for it to happen.

Strangely enough, when they changed park opening on us, the only day of the week they did not change was Friday. No day is safe.

To the OP - being at park opening does not have to entail shuffling in, jockeying for position. If we're going to the MK, we are almost always there in time for the opening show. We let the first rush go by then enter the park and proceed at our own pace. We had a toddler with all the trappings that includes and had no problem- we even let him walk in out if his stroller.

I'll add that if you want to see the opening show at the MK (the only park with an opening show left) then you really don't want to be at the front of the crowd. The ones at the front of the pack won't be able to see the show. And we do love watching the show. It sets a great tone for the day.

We love CP for early park breakfast. And we always do it and there are always Photopass photographers for us. Not sure if that's changed in 3 years. We love walking down the empty Main Street and the breakfast is yummy at Crystal Palace. For my non-Disney hubby, it's his only request for Disney. But if you are only doing it to get in early and beat the rope drop crowd, I would say that it's unlikely. But get the check right away. You can eat pretty quick there since it's a buffet.

I have to say I really don't care one whit about the Pooh characters. But we do love having breakfast at CP. It's such a beautiful setting, with a beautiful view of the park. And Pooh's puffed French toast is awesome.

I have reservations at Crystal Palace at 8:15am for family of 4 (twin four year olds). Park opens at 9am. Not really doing it for the food or characters but more to not sit in rope drop with two four year olds and have to run in the stampede when it opens. I have a couple of questions about getting in before the park opens.

  1. What time should I be at MK to get into the park?
  2. Do they let you in at a specific time or is it based on your reservation time?
  3. Are disney PP photographers in the park at this time to take Castle shots with no one else there?
  4. What time do I need to leave CP to beat the rope drop rush to 7DMT?

Last year, we had an 8:15am ADR and we got our photos taken in front of the castle by Photopass Photographers before our breakfast. Sunrise light on the castle was very pretty and it was not totally empty, there were people there, just not as bad as regular day crowds. Ended up being some of my fav photos from the trip.
