I am thinking about an early breakfast-either Ohana or Kona Cafe-then a quick monorail ride around the monorail resorts.Which of these 2 restaurants do you think DD-age 10-would enjoy? How long would all of this take? Oh,we will be driving to the Poly from an offsite resort for breakfast and then hitting the road by noon. Thanks!

Ohana is a character breakfast, which I think your daughter will love if you have the time (it takes about 45 minutes for Mickey, Goofy, Chip, and Dale to make their way around).

The food's great too!

That's what I was thinking, but I have also heard about the good food at Kona.Kona would be less expensive, but Ohana might be more memorable. So, a breakfast at O'hana and a monorail ride would take about 2 hours??

2 hours sounds about right to me.

I've heard that the food is great at Kona Cafe too, but we've never been there...hopefully we'll be trying their Tonga Toast on our anniversary trip next month!

Have fun!

I would highly recogmend breakfast at the Kona Cafe. The Tonga Toast is great and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I've never done breakfast at Ohanna's but I think that if you have young kids that really like the characters, I would pick that one. Otherwise, I would definatly do Kona.

Great info,all-thanks bunches!
Anyone else have an opinion? If I do decide on Ohana, when can I make the PS-at 60 days out?? I'm just not sure...:)

I'd pick O'hana. Not only is it a character breakfast where they do a little around the room dance with the kids, but they will also serve you some of that famous Tonga Toast from Kona if you ask. :) Let your server know as soon as you sit down to allow for the extra time it will take to get that scrumptious stuff.

I'd try to get an early PS, say by 8am, so you would then have some time to not only ride the monorail afterwards, but get off and explore 1 or 2 of the other resorts.

RhondaS-your suggestion sounds like a winner! I really wanted to try the Tonga Toast and had no idea I could get it at Ohana! Yea! I would love to poke around the resorts, too.
Thanks!! The DIS is THE BEST!!!
