Hi Guys

I have lurked for quite a while now and I have found out lots for our trip to DLP in April, however I need to ask specifically about breakfast at the Cheyenne (when we went Sept 05 we stayed at explorers)

Could anyone let me know what food is served at breakfast time, I know it is continental style, but as we have a picky 4 year old it would be good to know whether there is anything she will eat or whether I will need to pack some things (& get bananas  etc at auchan)

Also I have read differing things about GMF breakfast, some saying it had stopped, some saying ask when you getto hotel - what is the most recent experiences of this and is it any better a breakfast?

Thanks for reading:flower3:

We stayed at the Cheyenne a couple of weeks ago and as best as I can remember breakfast consisted of:

Croissants
Pain au Chocolat
Cold meat
Cheese
Cold cereal (cheerios, coco pops type things)
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk
Fruit juice

That was pretty much it. I've asked my children and they said there wasn't any fruit at breakfast, just at dinner.

Just for extra info, when you check in they ask you what time you would like breakfast every day and give you a card with the time printed on it. We went for 7.30 the first day which was fine, but the second day we went for 8.30 and it was an absolute scrum. Dining room was packed and it was hard to get a table, so I would suggest going as early as you can.

ETA: GMF breakfast wasn't happening when we were there, but no-one seemed to know if that was a permanent thing

Hi Shimona and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

I think there was also yoghurt available for breakfast.

You can get a cooked breakfast for an additional charge :)

Hi Shimona

We stayed there in Oct 07 and they had all the things already mentioned by Dead-Metal and when we were there they also had:

Small crusty rolls
Jam & butter
TINNED fruit cocktail
Stewed apple
Plain yoghurt

And I agree, the best time to go for breakfast is definately between 7 and 7.45am. it's easier to get a seat and for getting your food.

We are returning in 3 weeks, so I will try and find this thread on my return, and give you a more up to date description of brekkie.

we came back monday from the cheyenne. they serve, crusty bread rolls , plain croissants. chocolate chip croissants, ham, cheese, jam, butter.orange juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and about 5 different cereals.
we were lucky to have 2 GMF breakfasts which served all of the above plus tinned fruit and fresh fruit adult yoghurts and kids yoghurts and another type of seeded wholemeal bread.
we too thought GMF breakfasts had stopped but we just asked when we booked in and were told we could have the sunday and monday breakfasts as GMFB .

my husband has just said he thinks they did tinned fruit for breakfast at cheyenne but he also thinks he might be confused with the evening buffet. my son says there was some white yoghurt thing in a dish but not like the pots in the GMFB.

Definitely ask about good morning fantasyland.
we had all but one breakfast in the park. they become available 3 days before, i think, so you can be all organised and ask every day as they become available - they do vanish quickly.

First time i've heard of the gmfb. Sounds like it's in the parks. Can any1 tell me exactly what it is and if it costs extra. I'm interested as i'm staying at cheyenne in May

Good Morning Fantasyland breakfast can be requested when you check in, you can have it one day or every day of your stay subject to availibilty. The breakfast is of the same standard at Sequoia lodge, so if you're staying at Santa Fe or Cheyenne it's a free upgrade too with fruit yoghurts and fresh fruit cocktail.

It's held in Au Chalet de la Marionette or Bella Notte and you can combine it with the Extra Magic Hours. :)
