Breakfast at Steakhouse 55

Have reservations for May 21 and the New York steak and eggs looks very yummy, any comments on that?

Also is shorts or jeans acceptable at this time of day?

Steakhouse 55 offers a great breakfast (and what you're wearing to the Parks is fine for breakfast).

Love the breakfasts. We do the 4x2 (2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 bacon, 2 sausage and breakfast potatoes.) They just redid the recipe for the pancakes. Really awesome.

When Chef Marcel started at Steakhouse, we commented how we loved everything at breakfast EXCEPT the pancakes. On our last visit at Easter, he told us how he was changing the pancake recipe and how they had had all the sous chefs submit their favorite recipes and do a tasting. They came up with a winner and since we had been the ones who had recommended the change, they wanted our approval, so in the middle of our dinner, here Chef comes out with a plate of pancakes for us to try!!! They were delish!

Hmmm, I actually liked the pancakes with warm berries in the past. Now I'm really interested to try them! Does anyone remember if there are mimosas on the menu?

How are the pancakes versus the French toast?

How many pancakes or pieces of French toast do you get if you order the stack?

Can't comment on the french toast stack, but we were just there for breakfast for the first time a couple weeks ago and LOVED IT. Very reasonably priced, I thought. Robert had the bananas foster pancakes and I had the 4 x 2... eggs were cooked perfectly for me (would you believe no one can scramble eggs the way I like them???) and my fruit cup had wonderful sliced strawberries in it. Next time I order there, I will ask for all strawberries instead of the melons that came with it too.

Love the pancakes. Until the change, I regularly did the french toast. It is very good also! While I usually did the 4x2, I did ask for a side of the bananas foster. So good. French toast is usually 4 large pieces. Pancakes are a stack of 3.

The New York Strip with eggs for breakfast was at BEST mediocre and quite frankly borderline MEH.
