We are on the "free" dining plan in June and I want to do one breakfast (since we wouldn't pay those prices for breakfast now that our two kids are Disney "adults"). This was sort of a late decision so my only options are for Ohana and 1900 PF. We will cab from CSR and then bus to AK for a late start day. It is the first full day of our trip and we are dealing with a 4 hour time change coming from the west, so 9:00am is really 5:00am Alaska time! We need motivation not to sleep until noon, so I have 10:30am ADRs at both places. Our girls are 11 and 13 but still enjoy the characters.
FYI:
This is the first year since 2001 that we are skipping Chef Mickey's. I have a lunch ADR at Akerhus and a dinner at CP. Yes, we are character heavy but since our girls are aging out of character meals and we normally avoid fixed price restaurants, I want to take advantage of "free dining". We are eating dinner at Ohana. We have not had breakfast at either place. It has been a long time since we ate at 1900. My husband and dd-11 like the variety of 1900 and my dd-13 likes not leaving the table at Ohana. I guess I'm leaning towards 1900 since we already have a meal at Poly.
Wow, long winded... sorry! My first choice would have been breakfast at TH, but it is not available. I will keep trying though.
Is the food quality the same at both?

the food I think is the BEST. They bring scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, great coffee cake, and this juice that is out of this world. Now for characters they are Mickey, LILO, Stitich, and I think Goofy at times. They wear Hawaiian shirts, they also do a dance around the restaurant where kids of ALL ages get up and dance the conga line. They even give maracas and I think tambourines. My nephew is 20 but at 16 he even got up and did it, and trust me he "thinks" he is usually to cool for stuff like that. We also think I wouldn't pay for breakfast at a character meal, that is until I went to Ohanas. Now we pay even when we don't have dining plan. Not a big fan of 1900, I think Ohanas is just way more FUN...

Good luck deciding.
