Breakfast at DL resort?

Can you give me an idea of what the breakfast offerings (with prices) would be like at the DL resort, not including character meals. I am trying to figure out if it would be cheaper to stay on property (with AP rate) at DLH (or PP) or to stay at Embassy Suites which includes a full breakfast.

I think the average Embassy Suite with 2 double beds runs $135 per night.

So in order to make it worth my while (money-wise that is ;) ) to stay on property, I need to get the room and breakfast for around that much.

I need to know prices and dining options.

(I am looking at fall of 2005 and already have an idea of AP room prices.)

Can anyone help me?

Thanks!

Prices for breakfast at the Disney parks will range in the $7-$8 at the counter service places to $10-$13 at sit down places and even more at the hotel restaurants.
The variety is okay. The fast food places usually have Potaoes, Scrambled eggs and a meat choice. There are also fruit plates as well.
The Carnation Cafe on Main St. Has a small menu of items that include Eggs Benedict over a croissant, Scrambled eggs and bacon and such. I thought the food was okay but not special.
Be careful of the La Brea Bakery as the prices are high. The Whitewater snacks counter service in the Grand Californian gets good reviews. I do not knwo the prices there.

Do it my way, coke + churros. ;)

I've stayed at the Embassy Suites and the breakfast wasn't that bad! It would definatly justify staying off-site too.

From what I hear there isn't that much of a plus staying on site though... =/

I saw somewhere on this site that AP rates at Disney Hotels in 2005 may be non existent. That said, at the Disney hotels it is tough to find a full breakfast that is not character oriented and therefore expensive. I believe at Storytellers and PCH Grill you can order off the menu to avoid the higher buffet price but at Goofy's it is buffet only. At the DLH there is a little place next to Goofy's that sells muffins, bagles and coffee that is not too pricey (for Disney). We always grab a Mickey cookie and a hot chocolate at Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street for a quick non nutritional breakfast! For 4 people there we can eat for around $15. At the Village Haus in Fantasyland four of us sharing three breakfasts paid $24. I think if a full breakfast is important the Embassy Suites thing might be better.

Thanks for your responses.

My family loved staying at Embassy Suites in April. I am just always so tempted to stay on-site at least once. I guess it's really not a better deal moneywise, but I realize there are other perks in staying at DLR.

We'll have to think about it a bit more.

Thanks again!
