what is available at breakfast at the cheyenne hotel? last time stayed at newportbay and was pleased with the breakfast we had. should i expect it to be very different?
and if we do manage to get GMF breakfast is the food the same as the hotels?

I wondered this too and apparently you get help yourself natural yoghurt - not the individual pot selection and tinned fruit salad not fresh :(
Other than that I believe the selection of the breakfast food is the same as the other hotels, without an option of hot food though.
I shall be requesting GMF's if available as that breakfast is of the same standard as the SL and does include flavoured yoghurt and fresh fruit salad, which are traditionally part of my special Disney Breakfast. :)

lol not too bothered with the fruit myself actually. at disney all my attempts at healthy eating just fly out of my mind lol
we will be trying to get GMF too hopefully
i just loved having the small baguettes in the morning with cheese and ham....and their croissants were nice 2

I stayed at SL last time and GMFB was exactly the same food! :)

I'm actually a littlle sad we cant have GMFB this trip. Lol.

cereals , baguettes , cheeses , ham
yoghurt and fruit in big bowls
crossiants , bread ,

cant remember if there was much else , as i stuck to cereal and cheese and ham baguettes

sorry to be asking so many questions!
does anyone know the times u can choose for GMFB if it will be available. will be it from 8am onwards? or does it start earlier?

Its not any earlier than 8am - and I think the earliest we've managed to get it was 8.45am.

It starts at 8.00 and goes up to about 9.45

We always went for later slots - got to the park for 8.00 EMH, did an hour and half rides while it was quiet and then had a late breakfast

I tried on three occassions to get GMFB last week but couldn't get a single one :sad2:

when we went in dec they said they werent doing it - and tbh i didnt see anywhere that looked like it was doing it :confused3

hopefully when (i mean if ;) ) we go back, they will do it then

Do they do chocolate croissants/pain au chocolat at the Cheyenne for breakfast? I'm sure they did at the Santa Fe when we went last time.
Do they have any spreads like jam, marmalade etc?

I'm sure they do :goodvibes

Good Morning Fantasyland Breakfast - it's the opportunity for you to have your breakfast within the Disneyland Park itself, usually at the Chalet de la Marionette restaurnant or the last twice ours have been at the Bella Notte restaurant. When you check in you may see signs advertising it, and it's when you're checking in that you need to request it, if there aren't any signs then it'll still be worth asking as it seems to be a bit on and off at the moment.
Hope that helps, enjoy your stay next week. :)

Thank you jillrobinson:goodvibes , that was puzzling me!:confused3

Is that the same as having a character breakfast? I have seen ask for a character breakfast mentioned when arranging breakfast time?

loopy

No, character breakfasts have an additional cost. They're quite good fun and a nice way to start the day, as long as everyone eats, in our case we're always so desperate to get to the parks that it's a bit of a waste of money, as nobody eats much. I can't remember how much extra it is offhand but it takes place at Cafe Mickey a restaurant in the village and there is a wider variety of food including sausages, bacon, pastries etc.

GMF's give you the oppportunity to have breakfast at the parks at no extra cost, so if you want to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, but don't want a 7.00 breakfast at the hotel, you could opt for a later one in the park.
BTW If they're on, they're allocated on a first come first served basis, so ask when you check in what the availability is for your whole stay and hopefully you'll get 1 or 2. :)

It's 17 euros per adult if staying on-site and 21 or 24 euros (can't remember which) if not :thumbsup2 Not sure on the child cost as I've not had the need to ask.

The Character breakfast doesn't take place inside the parks, it takes place at Cafe Mickey in the Village. If you pay in advance, and you're staying at an onsite hotel, its £12 per adult and £8 per child. The early slot is 7.30am, later one is 9.30am.

I wouldn't recommend the early one - we went in October, and although we ate well from the breakfast buffet, we really didn't want to spend any more than one hour there, as we wanted some EMH time as well. In the hour we were at Cafe Mickey, we only saw 3 characters, which is pretty woeful really, considering at other mealtimes there we've seen at least 5 or 6.

If you are considering the character breakfast, I'd suggest booking it for an EMH day, doing EMH, then going for breakfast. You can have a leisurely breakfast then, knowing you've already done loads of rides in EMH, and make the most of your time at Cafe Mickey with the characters.
