We are big breakfast eaters......skip lunch (maybe a light snack) and then an early dinner (5:30-ish)

I'm confused as to how the Dining plan works at the food court. We have always taken our own breakfast foods before but since we are 'on da plan' thought it would be nice to start the day with nice hot meal.

We've stayed at the Carribean beach but I don't think we have ever gone to the food court. Do they have eggs cooked to order? (I like mine over easy, wife like sunnyside up). bacon, toast...well you know-all the fixin for a good southern breakfast ;)

Do we just pick out whatever we want, hand them the card and go on our merry way?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Here is the menu at CBR off allears :

If I recall correctly the eggs were all scrambled. I can't remember being asked how I like them. Its straight food court fare . Pick what you like , head to cash register( they swip card there) , fill refillable mug , grab a seat or take back to the room. I was usually doing the grab and go and taking it back to the room for the wife and 5yo. We got away with using 2 cs usually and were usually satisfied.

We did this only a few times. We had booked a number of character breakfasts, which if you are BIG breakfast eaters you might consider . They are usually all you can eat buffets or table served platters with unlimited refills of what you like. I know for a fact these did not have eggs to order. We booked the character breakfasts so a) we did not have to hunt down the charachters and b) got a good start on the day with full stomach. Another benefit of the character breakfasts - get into the parks before the rest of the people - We spent 45 minutes alone on main street before our reservation at CRT the first day. Great photo ops!!

Note: there is some debate about using your TS credits for breakfast, but it sounds like you might make breakfast the biggest meal of your day. If thats the case the buffet / refill of the character breakfasts may be suited to you.

We enjoyed CBR - try to get into Jamaica - real easy walk across the bridge to the food court and the refill station for the mugs.

Enjoy your trip !!

ps each of the items in the menu items count as your CS credit with of course the added beverage.

if you do the refillable mug for cofffee etc remember to pick up a water or milk etc with your breakfast - We usually did this and took a couple waters with us to the parks.

last piece of advice - we found the packaged grapes as a great value for the snack credit. Huge serving - would last our daughter most of the day as a snack while waiting in line.

I love breakfast - and I eat breakfast at OPR at CBR almost every day of our trip. The menus previously posted are correct. My favorite is the adult breakfast platter, that plus an orange juice (hence the DDP) would be plenty for me and my dad to share in the morning. So if you're breakfast people, go ahead and get your own - it should give you a good start to your day! We did mix it up every so often, going for the omelette or waffles on a few days.

I also agree that character breakfast buffets might be a good idea, at least for once or twice during your trip if you really enjoy breakfast. Disney does a good breakfast!

If you stick to OPR, though, I don't think you'll be disappointed. No made-to-order eggs, though, I believe. But there's lot of other items to be had!

Hmm... what exactly is a good, Southern breakfast? Sounds like something I might like!

Thanks for the replys! So no made to order eggs :( :( well if that is my only problem then I have NO problems!!

What's a 'good ole Southern breakfast'?

Well at my house it's 8 slices of thick cut smoked bacon, 4 eggs cooked in the bacon grease, platter of hash browns, 3 patties of hot sausage, homemade grits (not the nasty instant kind most people know), 3 pancakes with warm maple syrup and powdered sugar, 3 fresh biscuits with red eye gravy, 16 oz glass of fresh squeezed orange juice and all the hot strong coffee you want.

For some reason we seldom need to take a break for lunch ;)

A character breakfast won't work since all of our table service credits will be used for dinners.

(feelin my arteries cloggin up just typin this)

WOW! If I ate all that for breakfast, I'd either be as big as a house or I wouldn't eat again for 3 days.

It all sounds pretty good, but I'd have to eat it over a number of days.
