Breakfast at BC & parking

I'm wondering if we go to a late character breakfast at the Beach Club, will we be able to leave our car in the parking lot & walk over to Epcot or do we have to drive to the regular Epcot parking lot after breakfast? We are staying offsite so we won't have a resort parking tag. I would love to walk right in to WS at 11am opening time (last wk Apr.)

The guard will probably issue you a 3-hour pass to park. You could valet park at BC, but it is cheaper to park at EPCOT than the valet w/tip.

Unless you are a guest at the BC resort, you will get a 3-hour parking pass -- unless you choose to valet park. Parking at the resorts is reserved for the guests of that resort. If you want to visit Epcot after breakfast, please park in the Epcot parking lot. (Unless you want to risk having your car towed away. )

We have eaten there twice for breakfast around 10 or 10:30. We were just waved through, never given a 3-hour pass. We were staying onsite, however. There always seems to be lots of space in the BC parking lot. (This was summer, a busy time.) We wandered over to Epcot for the afternoon, came back to Beaches and Cream for dinner, and went home. I'm not sure how staying offsite would affect your parking, but we have not had a problem with it.

I made my PS for the breakfast today. I guess we'll just ask at the gate when we go in. It's no big deal really to drive over to the Epcot lot. I certainly wouldn't want to get towed! But maybe a nice CM will let us stay at the BC.

Since you're planning a late breakfast, you may want to consider parking at Epcot at park opening, and then walk through Epcot and out the WS exit to breakfast at BC. Then you just have to walk back into Epcot after breakfast, and you're already parked at Epcot with no need to move your car.

frndofpooh, that's a wonderful idea! I don't know why I didn't think of that. Do you know how long it will take to walk from the parking lot to BC?

Not to sure if you can do this... I would call first and ask. To get to the BC from Epcot, you must walk through Future World and around 1/2 of the World Showcase area to the International Gateway. World Showcase doesn't open until 11 A.M.

I know they allow people to enter Epcot through the International Gateway before 11 AM, but there are CMs posted about who direct them to FW. If you have a PS for the Princess B'fast in Norway, you can enter WS before 11 A.M., but I am not certain they'd let you go back to the International Gateway. I'd check it out before you went.

Eeyore1954 makes a good point. Although they let people in through the World Showcase and direct them to Future World before 11:00, and I not 100% sure that you can do the reverse. I find it hard to believe, however, that if someone wants to go to BC/YC or BW from Epcot before 11:00 that they would be prevented from walking through WS on the same path that people are walking in the opposite direction. I agree that you should call to doublecheck, but I can think of no good reason why they would not allow it.

If you can do it, you should leave yourself at least 15-20 minutes to walk from FW to BC (add another 5 to go from the parking lot to FW, plus time to go through the entry gates and have any bags searched), assuming you don't want to have to hurry. When you leave Epcot, make sure you get your hand stamped. I hope it works out for you.
