Does anyone have any good breakfast/brunch appetizers? I want to give my guests something to munch on while I complete warming everything up for breakfast.

I think that something like fresh fruit with a dip would be good. Maybe sour cream or yogurt mixed with citrus peel and a little honey or brown sugar.

Cheese cubes and fruit with or without a dip might work! Or a good cup of cocoa, flavored coffee or spiced cider.

Geez, now I'm hungry!

We always do "sausage pizzas"

1 lb. of pork sausage (we usually do Hot, but use your preference)
1 lb. velveeta cheese
1 package cocktail mini rye bread

Brown your sausage and drain. Add cheese and stir until melted. Top each slice of mini rye bread with a dollop of sausage mixture. Bake 15 minutes at 450 degrees. You can also freeze these (unbaked) on cookie sheets until frozen then store in a freezer bag. Just pull out as many as you need, place on a cookie sheet and bake as directed above. You don't even need to thaw them out.

We have also served these as appetizers anytime of day, not just breakfast!

Enjoy,
Candi

Yummy...silly question...Do you slice the sausage?

Suzy--

Nope, actually you just brown and crumble it. Sorry about that, I should have specified!

Enjoy,
Candi
