Okay - which table service breakfast place would YOU pick and why?
1) Ravello (weekday buffet, not character)
2) Ale & Compass
3) Grand Floridian
4) Other?

So - I will have a car and I really don't have any other important plans for the Friday morning I am planning a breakfast. I'll be solo.

I am aiming for a resort because I want a "breakfast experience" that morning. I doubt I will head to a park at all, though I can if I want because I have an AP and since its mid-Sept, assuming I can get a park reservation the day before.

Places I do NOT want to go because I have either been there plenty of times or "not this trip":
Boma, Kona, Topolino's, Whispering Canyon, Cape May

Love to hear your opinions! I love dining out for breakfast, so, its just intended to be a little fun.

I would do Ravello - it gets stellar reviews. My last visit to Ale and Compass was really mediocre and the GF Cafe menu is so limited at this point, IMHO.

All good choices. Ale & Compass is a favourite of ours. Not fancy, but some different options usually that take it beyond eggs and bacon. Like the dark chocolate waffle (extremely rich but feels very decadent for breakfast) or the salted caramel apple French toast.

I'm not a huge fan of the Grand Floridian Cafe for dinner or lunch but I do like breakfast there. Fairly standard fare but solid options done well.

Sanaa is also nice. Not quite table service, not quite not-table service. If it hasn't changed since last we were there, you order at the bar, get the quick stuff (yoghurt, coffee, etc.), and they will bring the rest of your food to the table. I had the shakshuka, which was delicious. Spicy, but delicious though I don't think it's on the menu any more. There are regular types of offerings like eggs benedict but other African-inspired items which can be more interesting.

If you don't normally have a car with you though, I'd do Ravello simply because it's a bit more hassle to get to without one. We never have a car with us so haven't been able to get there, but it's on my list to eventually do. I really do like some of their breakfast options.

I'm now hungry.

I'd also vote Ale and Compass because of my deep and abiding love for the aforementioned caramel apple French toast!
