After being hunched over working on my painting project since 7 a.m. this morning, my shoulders are aching like crazy so I thought I'd take a break and DIS for awhile..:)

Only problem is - I'm so close to finishing that piece I'm just itching to get back down there again.. LOL.. If I disappear, you'll know where I went..;)

What's everyone else up to this evening? Did you have a good day? :goodvibes

Sounds like a good day!

We looked at a new car today. My least favorite thing to do. I drive a 2007 Volvo S40 and the lease is up in a couple of months. We want a Volkswagen Jetta TDI. They are offering no deals and you have to pay full sticker on the Jetta, but there is a tax rebate for clean diesel which expires on the 31st. (I think the tax rebate was $1300, and we may not qualify it--it was hard to tell.)

We were ok with paying full sticker price, until they offered us $1700 below the trade in value for a good condition car. We took it to another dealer to look at and they offered to buy it from us for the trade in value--the car is in almost perfect condition with low miles. Anyhow, I guess we could have sold it to one dealer and bought the new car from another, but it really frustrated me that they are offering nothing off on the Jetta, and could not even offer a reasonable trade-in. I am probably just being stubborn, but we were starting to feel nickeled and dimed. We're going to wait a couple of months and see if they are dealing on the Jettas, and if not guess we'll keep the Volvo. The dealer made it sound like our Volvo was worthless, so I was glad to see that's not the case.

Great day. I went to see 'Princess and the Frog' with my 5 year old daughter - it was her first time at the movies and she loved it. We came home, had Chicken Milanese for dinner, and now I'm sitting down with a glass of wine listening to the wind howl in the 10 degree cold outside. Just how I love to be - nice and cozy with my husband and kids.

I've had an awesome day. I am on vacation this week so I started off at the gym this morning. When I got home I got a call from my local Dunkin Donuts saying I had won a $20 gift card. :thumbsup2 Then, I went and got a massage, and now my daughter is cooking steak for me for dinner. My daughter loves to watch Food Network so she makes awesome steak. :lovestruc Life is good!

Pretty good day...ds had an appt with his neurologist for a followup for his childhood absence epilepsy, got ready, got in the van and it wouldn't start. Needs a new battery I think. Its a 2005 Venture we got new and don't think we have ever changed the battery. Couldn't go to that.
The kids then got ready to go play outside and 2 dd couldn't find their snowpants, gloves and hats. We visited my parents up north (Michigan) the weekend before, they were playing outside and riding snowmobiles before we left to drive 3hrs. home. So we put their wet outdoor play clothes in a garbage bag. Got home and someone left the closed garbage bag in the garage right were the real garbage bags with garbage usually get thrown on the side of the doorway. After calling dh at work to see if he's seen them, he says he thinks he probably ended up burning them in the outdoor woodstove, thinking it was a bag of garbage:eek: Crap, so now I gotta try to find 2 pairs of snowpants, 2 gloves and 2 hats before school starts again.

Dd3 peed up her bed while taking a nap, had to wash all her bedding.

Getting the house in order for a visit from my dad, tomorrow.

Made a ham, mashed potatos, mixed veggies, rolls and a strawberry cake for dinner.
And now Im here:lmao:

Oh, add in a few loads of laundry:laundy:

Pretty normal day in my life...Im not complaining:dance3:

What are you painting?

We just got back from Florida last night so today was all about unpacking and laundry!:laundy: It seems endless!

C.Ann, sounds like you have found a great hobby to keep your entertained for the winter! :thumbsup2

It was a really good day here, altho a very cold and blustery 26* :cold:. I made a pot of BBQ for dinner, we're enjoying our DIL and sweet grands visiting from NC for the week and BIL/SIL stopped by for a nice visit :goodvibes. I enjoyed watching the grands while DD1 and DIL took advantage of their spa GC's, then tomorrow DD2 and myself will have our turn of spa R&R......thx to DSonIL!!! :flower3:

Having a great day thank you.
On vacation this week. Went to the mall to try to spend a couple of my Christmas gift cards--Coldwater Creek is having an awesome sale!!!:cool1:
Did some organizing, cooking, and then watched Paranormal Activities with DS :scared1:
Now I must DIS. Headed to WDW in about a week and a half so gotta look for those last minute tips!
Post some pix of that project...:artist:

Long! My toddlers are into the WWF stage and many of time outs and once now and again and smack on the bottom. They rip each other to pieces and holy cow... I am so exhausted. Is it bedtime yet?!?
On top of it all, we're sick w/colds. It isn't BAD but when both kids want me NOW (and no one else). Not just to hold them but draw or play and never the same thing between them... it makes me look forward to bedtime each night.

They are a lot of fun, just can wear mommy down, especially when they are sick and no one else will do.

The irony of someone winning a gift card for donuts while at the gym is amusing! :rotfl:

Let's see...
I walked/jogged 2 miles this morning
went to the National WWII Museum
went to Outback Steakhouse
went to see Christmas light displays in 2 different local parks
:goodvibes
