BRB & Carnation Cafe?

Is it true that both will be closed in January? I cannot imagine not eating at Carnation and not getting treats from the bakery. Ouch!

Probably. I don't know of a firm closure date but I would guess right after next week.

The Holly Jolly Bakery will be opening to replace the BRB. Rumors suggest it's opening next week.

The Jolly Holiday Bakery is slated to open Jan. 4, 2012. It should be a prime photo opp to get great pictures of Mary and Bert!

We tried to make a reservation for Carnation on the 5th, but it was already closed. We did get one for the 3rd, but I can't remember if that was the last day or if the 4th was.

Wow. I'm glad to hear that the new bakery should open as the other closes because the blurb I read didn't clarify that. Really sad about Carnation though; DS14 loves the meals there so much that he would eat there twice a day if the rest of us agreed. Does anyone know how long it will be closed?

No no no, Main St. is not closing lol! They are closing Blue Ribbon Bakery to make indoor seating room for Carnation Cafe, and the new Jolly Holiday Bakery will open where the AP processing center used to be at the end of Main St.

Whew...thank you sonnyjane! I had a brief panic. I don't know how I missed this...not being a very good DISer, I guess.

I am glad there will be more seating for Carnation Cafe, although it is always a little sad when the things that we are used to at DL change.
