My poor daughter has been wearing DDD bras but they just don't fit right. She recently measured herself and should be wearing a 32F but I have no idea where to buy bras in that size.

I don't know anyone to ask so I figured I could ask here anonymously for recommendations :)

Soma. Frederick's of Hollywood. I recommend going to a lingerie store or department store staffed by little old Italian ladies and have her measured properly first.

Most areas have a specialty bra store. The one by my house is call Sheer Fantasy.

My daughter is a DDD and we had to get her a strapless bra for her wedding dress. We found this brand called Wacoal and they have sizes F, FF, G and H! She said it fit better than any bra she's ever tried and all the reviews were very good.
They are expensive but you usually have to pay $$ for a bra to get those bigger sizes and this brand was also on Oprah's list of favorite things several years ago.
Just google the name and you can find the places to order it. We found it in Macy's in a DDD in the store which is pretty unusual.

I buy mine online (32 G or H) mostly at:

Okay they filtered it! LOL!

I always have my bras fitted at Nordstrom. Depending on the brand I usually wear a size F. Elomi seems to be the best fit for me. I also wear Chantelle sometimes.

Cacique by Lane Bryant - they have the larger sizes, are reasonably priced and can be purchased in store and online. I love love love the Balconette. I wear an F cup - currently they are having a 40% off sale - woooowhooooo going bra shopping

Thanks all. She was fitted at Victorias Secret but they didn't have any bras for her to actually try on. If we go to Nordstrom or Macys will they have the larger bras available to try on?

Thanks again :)

These are my favorite as well. I will even, occasionally, wear one of their underwire ones. I also like that they have pretty color choices and prints, even in the large cups & bands.

I was going to suggest Cacique as well, but the smallest band size they make is 36....OP said daughter wears a 32.

The online site mentioned above is good, but I would go to a proper lingerie store (not Victoria's Secret!) to have her measured and try on a few options first. Different styles and manufacturers will fit slightly differently. Once she finds some she loves, going online is great.

Really, Victoria's Secret doesn't do that well at measuring and fitting bras. I have 5 sisters and we are all different shapes and sizes and VS has mismeasured us all, in different stores in different states. One of those small, higher end lingerie shops will usually measure and fit you into bras that will make an amazing difference. 4 of my sisters, my stepmom and I went to one last December and wow did it make a difference. My 40 DD sister, according to VS the month before, was actually a 36 H and looked so much better, not to mentioned reduced back aches, in the proper size bra. The rest of us all had a big, but not quite so dramatic, change too.

another vote for Wacoal. I found it when I was measured at Dillard's.

Now that I know which Wacoal size fits, I can go online and order the color I want.

It's what's up front that counts! :cool1: Or as they used to sing in an old western t.v. series theme song: Get 'em up, move 'em out.

Soma! If you have a Soma in your area it is the best. They also have larger sizes in stock.

Our local Macy's never have larger sizes in stock. The other store I used to go to was Dillards but their main brands don't fit me properly.

Good luck to your DD.

Oops I missed the band size. Thanks for the correction

Padded bras will also fit differently and they don't give as much support as a good unpadded bra...and they add bulk, so sizing will be different depending on the cut of the bra and the material. A 32 band in any size is hard to find but especially so in larger cup sizes.

I wear a 34 h or I and have been this size for a while. I wear an 8/10 in regular clothes. You need to go to Nordstrom or a small lingerie store. The hands down best brand I have found is prima Donna. I would get on their website and see where they sell in your area. Any store that sells that brand will probably be able to fit her well. There is another brand called emprintes that is also good. They cost a lot. I usually buy 2 or 3 bras a year and that's it. Generally 2 nude and 1 black. There is no cute (generally a lot more expensive) but a good bra in these sizes are worth every penny. I personally would stay away from wacol. Good luck.

Weird that I would find this the day after I was at Nordstrom to find a bra. I explained I was a 46 or 44. Too small of a cup size to mention here. She brought me 5 bras in size 40 with a extenders to use with each. I looked like a water balloon with a rubber band. I left without a bra. Only for the mainstream sized girls. Frederick's of Hollywood has an online but not "in store".

Nordstroms will likely have bras for her to try on. I wear a 32 large cup size (close to hers) and they had quite a few for me to try - and of various makes. In the end Wacoal gave me the best fit but it's definitely a YMMV. By the way, what they measured me at was NOT what I thought I was at.all. I was very skeptical when they brought bras in for me to try but they absolutely pegged my size.

Love Nordstroms for bras and fitting. Suspect Macys doesn't have nearly the range of sizes or expertise in fitting.
