I'm attending a reunion in Branson this summer. Can ya'll recommend some shows that would be good to go to, places to see or visit, good restaurant, etc.

I've been to see The Haygoods and the Dixie Stampede. I enjoyed them but I'd like to try something new. I'm also planning to go to Silver Dollar City. I've also been to the Titanic exhibit.

I went for the first time last summer and loved it :lovestruc

Silver Dollar City is very nice and was a lot of fun :thumbsup2

We did not go to any shows, but we did drive a ways up the road to Ozark, MO and went to Lambert's. We love that restaurant! It's in between Springfield and Branson.

I've heard of Lamberts. Sounds like a fun place to eat!

What else did you do to fill up your time? I know that we will be visiting some with family, have two mandatory family dinners but we'll have four days to fill.....

We did Silver Dollar City one day like I mentioned. One other day we went on a little roadtrip to Arkansas and Oklahoma (just for the heck of it...we got to cross two more states off our list :thumbsup2) And of course we went to Lamberts...

We spent a couple evenings at Branson Landing. It's an outdoor shopping mall on the river. It was a lot of fun and had some good places to eat as well as a huge Bass Pro Shop (if you're into that kind of thing :confused3)

It had a nice mix of chain stores like you'd find at the local mall as well as some that were related to the area (souvenier shops, craft shops, ect.)

My sister and I went on a girls only trip last spring. We saw three shows, but my favorite by far was The Duttons. They are a family musical group and were in the top ten of America's Got Talent 3 years ago.

Ride the the Ducks for sure. Get out on TABLEROCK LAKE!!!! Rent some jet skis. Go on the Branson Belle.

We are going to Branson in a couple of weeks just for the weekend. We are taking our boat down there since we have to go there for my dd's "Duke Tip" recognition ceremony.

I am hauling my boat up from the Tulsa area next month for a long weekend.
Staying at Chateau on the Lake

if you are in Branson July 6 through August 15, 2010 go to Peter Pan at the Mansion. It is not the Disney version but it is wonderful!! The best show in Branson by far!

I also enjoyed the Branson Belle. Just hope for a sunny day. The day we went there was a storm warning and we had to come back to the dock:sad1: so no cruise around the lake.
Lamberts in Ozark is a very yummy and Silver dollar city is a great park.( Not Disney but it is very nice, clean and well themed)

also there is a Branson message board, 1 branson . com
not as actice as the DIS but still helpful :)
Have fun!

I never realized there was so much going on in Branson. The only thing I knew about it until now is that there was a half Ironman event there in the late summer/early fall.

I forgot to add to be sure to pick up the "Branson Shows and Map Guide" Not only will the map help but it has coupons. you will find it in any rack of advertisements around the area. Many of the shows offer at least a small discount and some even offer a family ticket. Where you pay a given amount for how ever many people are in your family.

If you are down by the lake another fun afternoon is the fish hatchery.

Thank you for all the information! I'm not too sure about the water stuff. I get motion sick fairly easy. The Ducks might not be too bad but I know for sure I couldn't do the Belle.

Actually if the water bothers you it probably would be the other way around. The Belle is huge and I can hardly tell it is moving. The ducks splash into the lake and rock back and forth much more. Most likely you would be fine with either as the lake is usually very calm water. ;)

Ripley's Believe it or Not is pretty cool. If Tony Orlando is there, he puts on a great show. I don't care for the man personally, but I was really impressed with his show.

The Noah's Ark show is getting great reviews from locals. We live just over the state line in Arkansas. It is less than 30 miles from my house to Branson. Can you believe we have never been to Lamberts?

Can you believe we have never been there either! My sister stopped on her way down one time and said it was good. We don't even eat up in Branson much. Dana's is my absolute favorite! I like 3 fat Daddy's too. Love the BBQ!

We live in the same county as Eureka Springs and I have never been to the passion play either! lol

Ohhh, I almost forgot about the Shepherd of the Hills. I really enjoy that one!

I totally believe it! We have not made it to a show in a couple years now! We always say we will go but then don't make it. We do go into the City - usually for Cinnamon bread and a Carmel apple! I enjoy just getting a coffee and sitting up in the square.

Shepherd of the Hills--tour and show.
Horseback riding--there is a place past Shepherd of the Hills, on the same side of the road. It is nothing fancy but they have a good horseback ride--we did the early morning breakfast ride. We were there several years ago and used them.
There is a good magic show, can't remember the name though.
Love the ducks and Belle and Dixie Stampede as well as SDC and the waterpark.
