brand new to DVC

Hello,

We are not DVC members, but we were able to book a 1BR villa at Beach Club with a 35% pin code through regular reservations.

Since we've never done this before, I'm not sure what to expect. The phone representative told me that because we booked a regular reservation, we would have room cleaning every day, but I wanted to check with you guys because I've been getting TERRIBLE information from the phone reps.

Also, what supplies are included? Will we have sugar and creamer for coffee like in the regular hotel rooms?

I believe if you are paying by cash/cc, then you get regular services daily (mousekeeping and coffee refills w/packets of sugar & creamer). Now, if you booked with DVC points, THEN, mousekeeping comes in on the 4th day for trash and towels and I think it's the 8th day for full cleaning-I think I have this right).

They will supply sugar and creamer. I am not sure if its supplied daily but if not, they have a store in lobby where you can purchase the basic groceries if needed.

we're having Walmart.com ship our non-perishable groceries to Beach Club (free shipping if you spend $45!) and I don't want to buy creamer if they supply it. One less thing, you know?

I'm assuming that soap/shampoo is also refilled daily? We are trying not to check luggage, so I'm having sunscreen and other toiletries sent also.

I believe soap and shampoo is refilled regularly. When we stay at POR on cash reservations, we received daily mousekeeping and they always gave fresh towels/coffee with sugar & cream-they even left extra coffee for us because we kindly asked, they took care of the trash daily and refilled our soap and shampoos. Every few days we even received a towel animal. Now, keep in mind that POR is not a DVC resort so you may not get towel animals??? but if you are a cash customer the services are daily.

You can also expect to be in escrow for your own deed by the time you get back home!!! Once you stay in a 1br you'll never be able to go back to a regular hotel room!

I know, I know. Even the idea of eating breakfast at an actual table is enough to have me a flutter.
