Thanks to all who answered questions while I was away this weekend (we went to youngest son's college wrestling banquet where he received the Ironman Award and was nominated for one of the captains for next year).

Congrats to your son! Great family picture too! My DH was a wrestler in high school and does not have a smile on his face in any of his wrestling pictures.

Hi guys! Trying to choose our 'area' to request................and whether it is worth paying for a water view..........would love to see pictures of the views that you have had from your room! Also, does 'water' mean quiet pool as well as the lake!?!
Would like some recommendations for buildings in Ranchos that have a nice surrounding area!

Woo hoo! As of today my June CSR trip is paid off!:banana::banana: June 18th can't get here fast enough for me...

Hi! I've never faxed in a room request before, so I thought I'd ask the Coronado experts here in this thread for advice. I'd like to get a renovated room in an upper floor. What's the best way to phrase that request? Do I request specific buildings that I have read are already renovated?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I faxed in my room request this morning....Cabanas 8B or 9A with a view of the lake ( I have a waterview room booked.). :yay: Since we live close to the parks we have not stayed at a Disney resort in about 4 years...so I am really looking forward to Friday!!! The kids are super excited about the pool and playground! I only planned 2 ADR's for dinner....so we are going to do mostly CS at the different resorts, plus Sweet Tomatoes at the Crossroads...the Camp Fire/Movie at Ft Wilderness....and who know what else! We also have a day planned at Universal....and a birthday party for our niece in Orlando on Sunday....it's going to be a busy 5 days!!

Are you allowed to bring your own drinks into the Pepper Market? I read the procedure that you are seated by a server who takes your drink order and gives you a ticket. I was planning to bring juice boxes for my daughters at breakfast, as they will only drink about 2 ounces and I did not want to spend $2-3 each on juice they would not drink. Thanks for your help!

This was our waterview! It was the back lake in Cabanas 9b, 2nd floor. My daughter loved watching the buses coming in and leaving out of CSR. Plus there was something forever"bubbling" in that lake! It was fun to guess what it was.

Not sure if this has been asked yet, too many pages to read through, but are the king rooms at CSR handicap or not?

Of course now with the queen bed conversion, may not need a king room here any more :thumbsup2

Another refillable mug ques. We were at CSR in November (less than a year ago!) and are returning in September. We purchased our mugs (well worth the $$:woohoo:) on that trip. OK - here's my question (and I am sure I know the answer) Is it possible to bring our same mugs back with us. It's really not the money issue as I would want to purchase new ones if the style had changed but I understand that they are the same. Thanks!

I am planning to upgrade my ticket to an AP. I have been told this is easier to do if my tickets are not on my KTTW card. I was planning to use online checking..but given that I need my tickets seperate..should I even bother? Would it make more work for the CM for me to have checked in and then ask for it to be changed? Is this the sort of thing I could request in a fax?

I want the process to go as smoothly as possible and want to make sure I do my part to make it so.

(I'm trying to dazzle :wizard: my husband with my Disney expertise...)

I just wanted to say that I just came back from CSR and it was GREAT! Everything was good. Mousekeeping, the location I requested, customer service, everything was very good. All the staff was friendly and very accommodating NOT A COMPLAINT. The only complaint I have is that I couldn’t extended my vacation because I had to go back to work……:lmao:…….LOL

The parks were good not that crowded very manageable.

I hope that anyone that is heading to CSR has the same experience that me and DS had :goodvibes

Less than a month until we are at CSR and WDW and I can't wait. This thread has me so excited about CSR because we have not stayed there before.

I have one quick question. Does anyone know if it is a problem to bring a toaster to use in the room for breakfast? From some things I have seen I think it is OK since they include them in the fridge swaps but then from other discussions I worry it might be a problem.

I'm here at CSR now and LOVE it so far. We arrived Sunday at 11am and our room was ready! Check-in took all of 5 minutes, the staff was great. We also were given a voucher for a free champagne toast for my husband and I's Anniversary, totally unexpected, so nice!!!

The only snags I've encountered is that when we checked in there was someone's take home food container left in our fridge -- we threw it out, so this wasn't really a problem. And Magical Express only delivered 2 out of 3 of our bags, I had to call twice to get them to find out what was going on. The first 2 pieces came 2.5 hours after check-in and the 3rd finally came 6 hours after check-in. When I called (a little peeved) they tracked our suitcase down and delivered it 15 min later.

Thanks to everyone for all your when researching CSR for our trip!!

oh btw...crowds do not seem to bad to me either (or as bad as the UG made them seem) MK was open til 2am last night (emh) and still was very managable all day. Today we went to Epcot and Nemo was a 5 min wait, Test Track was a 20 min wait standby.

ok back to my vacation! :)

We just got from our 1st stay at CSR. I thought I would miss staying at POR (it was booked out for our dates). I have to say we loved CSR!!:thumbsup2 I requested to be in the Cabanas, which we got (8B, rm 8500 to be exact) The perfect location for us...corner room facing the lake, very close to bus stop 4 and the Dig Site, a short walk to the main building. I did the online check-in and we were on our way to the room in 5 min. Mousekeeping did a great job...no towel animals but they did some clever things with my DS's stuffed Donald. Transportation to the parks was fine, only had to stand 1 time. The buses were less crowded than POR's were last Oct. On our last night we took a walk around the lake, I noticed that my DS9 was quiet and pouty. When I asked him what was wrong he started sobbing :sad1: and said he loved it there and had such a good time and didn't want to go home.
So while I still love POR and did kinda miss the boat to DTD, it looks like the next time we go to WDW we will probably stay at CSR.:)

By the way.....We had perfect weather, not a drop of rain, not too hot, not too cold. I would have to say the best weather we have ever had in WDW and we have been many times over the years.

Its good to hear you preferred CSR over POR, I'm trying to decide between the two and keep coming back to CSR. :)

Water view does mean the pools as well.
All of the buildings in Ranchos have nice surrounding areas. However, if you booked in a standard view then your best bet would be 6B. It doesn't face the parking lot at all.

Just the way you phrased it here! :)

Most of them are handicapped. There are some that are not.

You would have to use the early ticket pick up at the theme parks for the tickets not to be on the room kets.
If you ask the CM at check-in, you will most likely get someone on the college program and they may not understand what you are wanting.
