This is the place to talk about your pets, furmoms and dads unite:)

I'm the mom of two mixed breed kitty cats

Simba is very handsome and has a very rubbable belly. Cali is a Cal Girl who thinks she is a Princess now. :D

Lover of 2 troublesome pugs....see below...

And also 2 kitties, a black one and a orange tabby

I'm the mom of 8 cats!

Lets see if I can put pics of them all,

Okay,

First we have Cairo, my SPOILED ROTTEN MAINE COON BABY GIRL! She is my oldest at age 8 and she is so spoiled, she is John's baby!

fb81c49a.jpg

Next is Mindy Lou she is 6 and is 1/2 Persian and 1/2 Siamese with the voice of the Siamese and the long hair of the Persian. She has no sense...absolutly none! This isn't the best pic of her.

Next is my Ocicat Diamond laying on Beanie's hospital bed.

fb530673.jpg

And here is Cinders, I rescued her from the streets of Memphis. She is the black and white baby and is bathing Dootsie in this picture....I just noticed my date is messed up on my camera....LOL!

fb530675.jpg

Okay now we have Meeko, he is my newest Maine Coon that I got from a Maine Coon Rescue sight. He has taken over the house. He is only a year old and is sooo big!

fb53066f.jpg

And I have my other 3 all in one picture. Lester is on the right, the white fluffy Himalayan, Isis is in the back laying down and the other is Dootsie. Isis and Dootsie are both Maine Coons.

We've currently got Skye, our little pest and pesky male, and Sienna, the chomping female (she likes to bite and I haven't been able to train her out of that habit). And, we're looking at #3 shortly. It's possible we'll even have him or her in the next few weeks, but I'll post when we know for sure. :)

Skye and Sienna are both about a year and a half old. Though they came from different breeders and we got them about 3 months apart (Sienna was almost 6 months old when we brought her home), they still get along fairly well. Some times, they're inseparable. Other times, they fight like crazy. They really act like teenage human kids in the ways they treat each other and it's so fun to watch.

But no matter how much fighting there is, come the middle of the night or first thing in the morning, they're little angels. :)

For those (what, 2 of you? LOL!) who don't know the story, Skye and Sienna are both Siberian cats. Siberian cats have a reputation for being hypoallergenic (note: hypo, not *non*). I have both asthma and allergies, and I can tolerate them with some problems the first 10 days, but after that almost none. But not everyone with asthma/allergies can tolerate the Siberians. If you're one of those like me who loves cats and would have a whole housefull if you could but you're limited by allergies or asthma, you might look into the Siberian cats. They're beautiful, have wonderful personalities, and aren't as rough on most people's allergies. :)

As you can tell from my siggy, I *was* the furmom of a beautiful big black domestic short hair stray named Precious for three and a half wonderful, if not chaotic and strange, years. Thankfully I have two other furbabies..Rumpleteazer, a 4 year old orange/cream/white tabby who was Precious' housemate and best friend and little Buttercup who is nearly 3 now who is my guardian angel. Stories I've written about her have been published in an online 'zine here and here. Her hysterical antics have made me laugh and cry and laugh some more. Butters is the most loveable cat I've ever known, always seeking out affection, always easy going, hardly ever getting angry with anyone.

Cordelia and Doyle are sister and brother from the same little(6 weeks old for both). They are like human siblings in just about everyway and she is a tabby mix and I'm not sure about her brother's mix yet.Yes I did name them after Angel characters:) and Spike and Dru may join them in a couple of months(another pair I'm looking to take in)

I have my adorable little Lucy who about 14 years old, and Max who has already gone to the bridge. He was 17. Max was a funny guy and used to get in the tub to drink. If heven forbid I forgot to put a bit of water in the bottom for him, he would meow until I did. Lucy ahs a weird water thing going too, she will not drink from a dish. She will only drink from a glass:rolleyes: I have to tell company to be careful not to accidently pick up Lucy's glass :p

Awww....*cuddles her kitties tight*
I have the only existing picture of Precious on the fridge door next to copies of both the Rainbow Bridge poem and Lend Me a Kitten.
Precious was such a bossy thing. She used her superior size and weight to really boss Rumple around, sitting on her if she didn't behave. She also had to have some of my milk from my morning cereal or she'd get really upset. Her favorite thing was chasing Rumpleteazer up/down/through the Christmas tree every year. Man I miss her...*goes off trying not to cry..mentally muttering I AM a steel magnolia..I AM a steel magnolia...*

We've got Duncan - black cocker spaniel, about four years old. We got him from a shelter and he's a great dog. We've found out he has some problems; looks like he was hit by a car at one time and the bones in his hip were never set so he walks and sits weird. He may need surgery when he's older. Both the vet and I were crying when we saw the xrays. He's got skin problems and constant ear infections, but he's such a sweet baby!! I think he's part cat at times and he will play mountain goat on the stairs. lol

Here's a pic!

And his webpage is here: http://home.mchsi.com/~eeyore74/duncan/Duncan.html but he hasn't updated it in awhile. :p

Wish I had a digital camera to share pics of all my babies...and i have a lot. I hope ya'll are ready for this and don't get bored.

Carlisle - poodle mix - 8 years old and spoiled rotten. Understands English and knows what his mom and dad are saying at all times. Will bite if he doesn't get his way. So cute he stops traffic! Seriously!

Casey - german shepherd/collie mix - 1 1/2 years old. Rescused from the pound. Beautiful loving dog with so much energy!!! Casey likes Carlisle but Carlisle doesn't like Casey.

4 inside cats - all rescues - Camille (looks like a Turkish Van), a big gray Tabby named Madison, a black/white tuxedo cat named Bailey (kind of fat), and another black/white kitty named Peppy (he has a stripe down his back like a skunk).

6 barn cats - live outside and keep the mouse population down at our farm. We love them and pet them and treat them as well as the inside cats though. They are: Mango, Solo, Bengal, No-Tail, Brie, Cassie. Cassie is diabetic. Bengal looks like a tiger. No Tail doesn't have a tail..was born without one (she's also Cassie's sister), Solo was the only survivor in his litter, Brie was severly injured when a friend of mine turned on his car and she was flipped out of the motor...almost died. She has three legs but gets around great! Mango is a orange tabby - kind of stand-off-ish but beautiful.

Bars Little Shadow (aka Shadow) - Quarter Horse - my favorite horse to ride. he's beautiful and was at stud until he was 7.

Mister, I'm Broke - (ada Mister) - Paint horse - gelding - 5 years old. beautiful but kind of dumb...very laid back. The tallest horse we have but oddly enough he's at the bottom of the pecking order.

Colby - Quarter Horse - very sweet - anyone can ride.

Cheddar Jack Bar - Colby's son. Almost 2 years old. Just as laid back as his mommie! We start riding him soon.

We also have 3 chickens - Sarasota, Siesta, and Bubbles. they lay delicious eggs and otherwise just cluck around.

We love all our babies - as you can see when we're not going to Disney...we're hanging at the farm.

Brag? About my boys? Now when do I ever do that??

(First, of course, Simba is very handsome.)

My boys are both from the shelter and are named after Star Wars characters. Wedge is a scaredy cat and Momma's boy and Tycho is a bully who will defend his brother to the death. Wedge is about 2, Tycho is about 3.

I have a four year old, Spoiled-rotten, King of the Castle, little light of my life...tiger kitty..."Mickey". He absolutely rules the roost and I wouldn't have it any other way. I got "custody" when I left my ex-DH (actually he didn't have a choice in the matter, I just told him I was taking Mickey) and moved into the apartment above my aunt in a 2 family house but Mickey has the run of the whole house (when I am at home). He purrs so loudly and talks non-stop!

I had a kitty "Sandy" that was 21 when we had to put him to sleep back in 2000. I had had him since I was 4 so that was really awful for me...loved that guy. He was white with orange and a definite "tiger" who bit everyone but we loved him.

wish I had means to add pics of Doyle and Cordelia, they are too cute and loveable

I have four girls. Happy, Bashful, Ariel and Belle

DSCN3045.JPG

Happy is the oldest at 8.5 years old. She is a very sweet kitty who has put up with a lot when we added her youngest sisters.
She is at the far right in the photo.

Next to her is Ariel. Ariel is a little dickens who loves to pounce on Happy. Ariel is about 2 years old now. She has the cutest little squeek for a meow.

Bashful is Happy's half-sister (same mom, different litters) and is 8 years old. Bashful has become mother hen to Ariel and Belle. We thought she'd be jealous of them since she was our baby first, but no.... Oh, and she has a discolored left eye. She had that when we adopted her and it doesn't seem to bother her. She did see a veterinary opthalmologist for a while, but no longer has to.

At the far left is Belle. Belle is a Dr. Jekyl, Mr. Hyde. She is Ariel's sister (from same litter) and definitely loves to cuddle with me. She'll also cuddle with DH, some of the time. Other times, she gets cranky and mean with DH, but if I take her from him, she's fine with me.

Oh, we got Happy & Bashful from the Humane Society and got Ariel & Belle from a feral rescue society.

I'm the mom of the most beautiful dog in the world (and she knows it too). Dizzy is a 1 year old Australian Blue Heeler. I'm also the mommy to two adorable cats, Sin-Sin and Tifi.

I love my animals !!!!

Well, I don't *actually* have any fur-babies. But, I have adopted the large family of squirrels in my yard.:p

There's Pudu (the mom), Peanut (the dad), PJ, Psycho, Puddles, PawPaw, and the new baby PeeWee. They also have a neighbor, Persnickety who nevers stops yelling. I can tell them apart a mile away and they are all so different. We have 2 feeders in the yard for them, they eat primarily peanuts and walnuts (out of the shell) - Thank goodness for Costco!:p

What a beautiful bunch of furbabies! Of course, Simba is definitely a very handsome cat. :)

I wish that I could post pictures too. We currently have two 10 year old brothers who are tuxedo cats. One is on the chubby side and quite lazy. The other is thin and thinks he's a kitten. I inherited these two from my mother when she moved away but I've always had cats and my family always had both cats and dogs.

We plan to double the size of our pet population before the end of the year. We hope to finally visit a shelter to add a dog and another cat.

Only a few people know this, but Alex and Nessa are my cats!!!

Both are DSH black beauties!

Alex (male, or used to be anyway!) is 3. He LOVES to play fetch, is smart as a whip, and actually answers to his name. I rescued him from a shelter.

Va(Nessa) is age 4. My BF found her in a warehouse. She was only 4 weeks old at the time and was never weaned from her mama. Try and try as I might, she wouldn't take a bottle. Instead, she "nursed" on my ear lobe (right ear only!). Did I say "nursed?" As in past tense? Silly me, she still does! Last night at 3 am, in fact!

Nessa sounds like a sweetiepie. I remember when we found Precious, she was also very, very tiny and probably not weaned. We didn't know what to do, so I got a warm wash cloth and a bowl of warm water and some dry kitten food. I mushed th e kitten food up in the water and smooshed it all over the washcloth, which I stuck on the end of my finger and she would lick/suck it till it was all gone. By the end of the week, we had her eating dry kitten food from a bowl.

God I miss her...:(
