Bracelet IDs for Toddler

I like the idea of the stickers on the back of their clothes. You don't really need to put any personal info about the kids, just your cell number. Maybe I'll make up a bunch with my label maker before we go.

The safety tat is AWESOME! I checked the website and will opt for that next trip! btw, i couldn't find anywhere that indicated how long it lasts...anyone who used 'em know by any chance?
thanks so much!

Ugh...should have updated this post. Tried the safetytats. They didn't work. And, unfortunately didn't try them until we were already at Disney since it never occurred to me they wouldn't work like every other temporary tattoo my kids have used. These were very STICKY on the surface so it took me three or more tries just to get the clear plastic lining off of one without distorting it, about 5 tries to get one on properly without distorting it since it stuck to my *sleeping* child's arm when I pulled the backing off, and then discovered in the morning that it had stuck to her pajamas anyway, even though I though I had let it dry. It was like having the adhesive part of a price tag on...couldn't get it off, and one dip in the pool destroyed what was left of the writing anyway. The website say put baby oil on them but I didn't have any and lotion and sunscreen didn't make them less sticky.

Used a sharpie on their upper arms anyhow and will find something else for the next trip...

Hey guys- just wanted you to know that sayitbands.com is having a sale and free shipping, I am going to order one for DS on our next trip- 5 bucks for peace of mind, you cant beat that!

Thanks, I will try one for my DS. Hey-gotta' question, what should I do for 5month old DD? I realize that she isn't moving and will be in the stroller, but I am paranoid that we could seperated from the stroller or something terribe. Should I just write our info on her belly with a Sharpie?

Oh no! Which version did you try? The original or write on?

We used these: http://www.id-inside.com/

We started using them when DD was 2.5 (on her ankle) and now she just 'knows' that if we are on vacation that she has to wear it. Very durable, waterproof and the velco is strong enough that a little one would have to work hard to get it off. :thumbsup2

You should get a write on medical bracelet for her! They come in infant sizes, you could put it on her wrist or ankle.. I dont know if a CM would think to look at her belly :)

wow, thanks for the review update on the safetytats...i guess i was just hoping to find something they couldn't take off or bother with esp in the heat, ahhh... i am looking into those vitalids.
In the past I've used the dog tags and they have worked, I used a keychain ring and attached it to their belt loop, but had to move it when i had to change the jeans or pants...
I think a bracelet on the body might just work better...we'll see!:)

I wish I could remember where here I saw it to credit the original poster...

Someone posted about taking a laminated notecard with all the necessary information and safety pinning it BACKWARD (so important info is not facing strangers, but I'm sure if lost a CM would look at the card hanging there!) on the back of their children's shirts. This really struck me as a good idea. They put on their the child's name, the parents names, parent cell phone number and any important medical conditions. We have a junior houdini who is almost 2, so I know anything he can reach will be removed.

Of course for sensory kids (my oldest is one) the pin might be bothersome so you'd have to test-try it!
