I was discussing the capacity of a 1 BR at OKW with someone at lunch today. I thought a 1 BR held 4...but then I heard that you could do 2 adults and 3 kids with an air-mattress. Which is it?

A one bedroom sleeps four, whether two adults and two kids or four adults. Disney has allowed a fifth person in the room as long as the fifth person is under the age of three.

DVC (but not CRO) has also allowed a fifth person (not necessarily under the age of three) in a one bedroom (why, I don't understand) but no additional bedding or linens are provided for the extra person. You still only get four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths.

But since the construction at AKV, there are several one bedrooms there that sleep five with the addition of the twin sized sleeper chair. DVC could go back to only four in a one bedroom except for those specific one bedrooms at AKV.

We're a family of 5 and always book the 1 b/r, no problem. MS does remind you that no extra bedding will be provided but since we drive we bring our own (air mattress and sleeping bag). Our oldest dd is now 18 and they still allowed me to book the 1 b/r for 3 trips this coming year (including 1 at AKV with the room that has the extra bed). HTH!
