Does anyone know where you can buy boys jeans in a long length? DS7 wears a 7 in the waist but the length is always too short. I would rather pay more for jeans that fit than have him wearing pants too short for him.

TIA

JCPenney sells Arizona size 7X which will probably work for your son it does mine. They even come in slims if need be.

OK, he needs a slim normally, do these come in long length? I have tried Arizona, Old Navy, Levi, Children's Place, and more and they are all too short after 3-4 washings...

I never put DS jeans in the dryer for that reason. I shake and hang them right out of the washer..

We do gap in slims. DS5 wears a 2T in shorts (although I did buy him some 4T's today, because the 2's are looking short) but wears a 6 slim in gap jeans, the slimness and cut of them make them super skinny but long. He cannot even come close to wearing a size 4, 5 or 6. Way too wide and super duper short. I have not seen any that specifically are size long like you can find for women.

My DS has a pair of Gap Painter Jeans that are the perfect length but his non existant waist means he has to wear the adjustable belt on the last loops. I never knew it would be so difficult to have jeans that last more than a month.

This is us as well. I hated those adjustable things at first but they are really such a lifesaver! I bought DS7 jeans 5 separate times last year! He just kept growing and every 4-6 weeks they were too short again!! That's why I really wanted some long length ones - to get the length so that he had room to grow I'd have to buy 2 sizes too big in the waist. My boys are quite slim already so we all know how that would look even if I could get them to stay around his waist.

We were buying shorts today and I said to my aunt, that was shopping with us, that I have no idea how people did it before adjustable waists! Ours are always pulled to the end one!

We used to buy jeans from Kohl's - loved the adjustable waist!

Now we buy the Arizona brand from Penney's. Always wash them in cold water and cold rinse, give a good couple shakes, maybe even a tug or two, and hang to dry. If they feel too "crunchy" then I'll send them in the dryer for 10 minutes tops to soften them up.

My 5yo DS wears a 3-4 in the waist and at least a 6 in the length. We've had fairly good luck recently with Lee slim jeans from Kohl's (in a 6 slim) - they actually are long enough AND skinny enough everywhere for him (not just the gathered waist / huge hips look from an adjustable waist, which we've had to do for years).

I have a very skinny 9 yr old- we have to go up a size for length and down a size in waist. I look for the adjustable waist which is great!

My DS also wear Arizona from Pennys, the nice thing is they have odd sizes like 9 & 11. He wears 10 silm jeans & 7's in shorts. The Arizonas seem to be the only silms that are cut down all over. I treid Old Navy silms on him the other day & it looked like he had a bag of taters in his pants:lmao: Our Childrens Place does not have silm but the do have them online. and if you think jeans are tough you ought to try finding snowboard pants.

I also love the adjustable waists!! My oldest son is 6 and can wear like a 4 for the waist, but wears an 8 for the length! WE LOVE THE ADJUSTABLE WAISTS!!!!!! We always have them on like the last one as well. He is just so skinny!!!!!!!

Thanks so much everyone - we took DS7 to Penney's last night and bought a few pairs of 8 slim. I did notice though that the slims do not have adjustable waists. They were all on sale so we ended up saving about 50% once we got to the register. Thanks again for all of the advice. BTW - looks like DS5 is going to have the same issues. He's 5 but everything is way too short. We ended up with 5's in little boys and the adjustable waists save us there too. It's not like we're particuarly tall or even come from tall families... not sure where they're getting their height from :confused3

My 12 year old wears a 14 slims from Lee. They are at Kohls and Penneys. They are slim and they also have adjustable waists. Those get pulled all the way in -- only way they stay on. We also liked the Gap ones -- they seemed to be a little longer -- can't find them in the bigger sizes in the stores and I won't pay the full price online.

Just bought 3 pair adjustable waist jeans for my son at Walmart- They were around $10 each. I have found thats the only way to get both the waist and the length right.
