Boys in women's changing rooms

I don't think I'd be happy for my DSs to go in a changing room on their own at 7.. You never know who might be lurking and you can never be too safe!
I'd probably take them on a corner somewhere if there were no cubicles, they are children at that age!
Personally I cover up anyway and usually put my swimsuit on under my clothes before i set off, ad afterwards wrap a towel around me to take it off..

You know your own children and I agree if it makes you all feel safer then take him in with you. I did notice that most people tend to get changed in their room and wear some clothes over their costumes to go to the pool then they stick them back on to go back to their rooms and change.

There is always parents bringing their children in the changing rooms regardless of gender & no one said anything.

He is 7, not 17!!! Of course it's ok for him to be there!! Can't believe some people think otherwise about a little boy, that's really sad :( Yes, he might be confident and capable enough to be by himself but it's not just about that - what if a situation arises that he doesn't have the maturity to deal with? I would DEFINITELY keep him with me and I don't think you have to worry about it at all.

I totally agree I can't believe any one would have a problem with us!

I wouldn't expect dd to go in the changing rooms alone at 7 if she went with her dad!

Our local swimming pools our tiny town has three lol! We have communal changing areas before having DD I thought this was horrible but now i thinks it's the best idea. There are plenty of cubicles so nobody has to see anything.

"Haha Daddy, you've got a little tail!" DH said he heard the family in the next cubicle roar with laughter!

This is so funny I love it lol!
